Because the article came from a Miami newspaper.

That’s true, especially if it was bolted on in a good way so it was easily swappable with cheap bits from the dealership parts department. Though bolts can get pretty crusty with road salt hitting them over many northern winters. But so can motors that lower flaps down

That context makes a bit more sense. I assume insurance in CA is significantly more than KC.

Amen!

I mean 3K would be fair if you really wanted a Lumina, but has anyone ever really wanted a Lumina?

Although, this winter in Minnesota has been pretty atypical. I’m in Minnesota and it’s above freezing right now. We had a nice run of below-zero weather last week, but that cold snap is definitely over now, and you can hear the weeping of the ice fishermen. :-)

Hell, this year winter in MN has been like a summer in San Francisco.

Yeah, that part is kind of a bummer. I picked blue for mine. I should’ve gone red but I’m kind of a blue car person so I just had to, even though the blue isn’t as vibrant as I would’ve preferred. The wife went white, yes boring, though it looks good on the car, and was the default (free) color option, with plans of

There’s no winter outside the arctic that should tkae nearly 50% from this vehicle. But I’m assuming it has a heat pump, battery heater, etc like all other Tesla’s. I’ve been looking at a lot of used EVs recently and their winter performance, and Teslas tend to perform among the best, using less than 20% winter range

At a lot of dealerships the big numbers are because of volume bonuses each month, gross profits aren’t that big on most cars that you can sell in any volume. The one guy I know that I’m pretty sure has made $200k/year a couple times sold on average 25 cars per month, obviously your pay plan will vary though.

Cold builds character. You know, back in my day, we used to walk to school uphill both ways, in the snow

Cool, you can reuse that list for the “worst coupes ever made” list, just remove the ATS and Scirocco.

True. I have to move a lot for work, however the majority of places I’ve lived have all been quite old. The houses were both built in the early 1940s and two of the condos were from the early 90s. The apartment was the newest one, and it had free L2 charging.

Red tide in Florida... cyanobacteria in Lake Erie... something fun for everyone! :)

The 25 mile routes are also the ones probably with the most focus on emissions and where speeds will be the lowest and the trucks can be cycled for the next day without losing productivity. I think the word here is Optimized.

Generally you wouldn’t have to pay Germany in this case, but rather Austria.... but since you’re clearing customs in Germany, you’d have to have your paperwork in order - not really any different than when I bought my car in Missouri, drove it to Ohio with the proper paperwork and ended up paying sales tax to Ohio,

Kind of what I thought, like I know I have seen air jacks on race cars before.

I think we’re supposed to be outraged because it was for a charity auction. But if he’d bought it in the EU, he’d have paid sales tax on it at purchase which is essentially what the import tax is for. The compensation to the member state for the loss of income on the sales taxes by purchasing it outside them for sales

They went Tesla ways and were very optimistic in their estimate:D?

Kitzbühel is 127km from Munich. He probably flew into Munich with the intent of driving or taking a train to Kitzbühel. Which makes it all even shittier because he wasn’t bringing the watch to Germany, he was taking it to a different country. But the Germans want their cut, obviously. It’s also probably why he didn’t
