I mean to be fair, this isn’t really on Toyota, but more on the agency, Burrell. I guess Toyota is tangential involved, but they don’t hire the talent or produce the spots. I can’t imagine most OEM’s do, so this could happen to any OEM.

Don’t know about the first gen, but my rather tall friend had a 2nd gen in High School and he fit decently well. I wanted to go NP, but $10k just seems a bit high for me, so reluctant ND.
It is kind of crazy since I would bet most of the problem vehicles had the mats stacked by the owners and not the dealer or obviously the OEM.
Food poisoning is more of a catchall term. It is usually caused by a virus or bacteria, there a bunch of them and all pretty much have the same symptoms and onset time. On the plus side, it is a great “cleanse”!
Yep, or you can just value anything you own at $1bn. Doesn’t mean it is worth it, but on paper, you are now a billionaire due to “value”.
The gas pedal thing was kind of a farce, IMO. People were stacking mats and that caused the pedal to get stuck. The recall fix was to check that mats weren’t stacked. The frame recall was more recent, but went back about 20 years and you could take in a 20 year old Tacoma or Tundra (maybe other models?) and get the…
Anyone can be a billionaire on paper, pretty easy honestly.
Good old Norovirus for you. We have had this happen with our friend group, it was truly terrible. Had a party and then that night the texts start rolling in and you just wait your turn. Luckily that time, our family made it out unscathed. But this past New Years, we did not.
When you have a pretty stellar history and make a whoopsie you do get a bit of a pass. Especially if you make it right (Toyota frame rust?), but if you continually fuck up and don’t ever make it right, that is a bigger issue.
I know, just being a pain in the ass.
Yea, I guess it is more that I have just noticed that EV’s seem to mostly have terrible towing capacities. As you said, not that it is really a need for almost everyone. Just more of something I noticed. My old ass Highlander Hybrid is 5 or 6k lbs towing I think, not that I will ever need or use it.
I will join you with my ‘07 Highlander Hybrid that has 287k miles. It is actually relatively quick for its age and mileage. I think the factory quoted 0-60 was 6.8s or somewhere around that.
Some people literally cannot drive across the bridge. I drive over the bay bridge multiple times a year and have seen it firsthand, well I guess the people that are scared but do it anyway. It really sucks when you encounter it.
I guess? But they look like they have been sitting for a while. Usually with hot stuff, you want to get rid of it quickly. Because, you know, evidence?
That is insane for that car. If you want an EV, there are so many options out there with way better deals that I have no idea how they will lease any of these. $414 with almost $4k down for a piece of low range junk? Residuals must be so bad on these. On the plus side, if you are interested in one, wait 2-3 years and…
I know it doesn’t really matter, but 3,400lb towing capacity is pretty terrible.
So uhh, what were the plans here? Just steal them and look at them or were they trying to sell them or something?
Not to be a pendant, but how can it be a “H” 6? Wouldn’t it be more like a III6 or a H and a half 6?
Yea, I guess I am just used to older ones that are already failed and don’t really think about the lifetime of the components. Would depend on the car to me. Older E500? Coils E63 wagon, air ride.
Haha, WHOOPS!
