I mean, we all know Tesla or I guess Elon’s MO is over state and under deliver. It has been that way for a long time now and will continue on.

Plenty of place you can live and not have that high of a mortgage and make that kind of money. I wouldn’t qualify as an individual or maybe just qualify, but since my wife makes less we are well under the joint AGI and have a mortgage that is under $2k. Even if we moved to a bigger house our mortgage wouldn’t be…
“ The 2025 Optiq will start at just $54,000...”
Why not webdings or wingdings? That would be MUCH more fun.
Dude, why wouldn’t your neighbors tell you? If it was me, I would 100% tell or even if I felt concerned about being a “snitch”, which I am not concerned about, I would just slip you a note.
There are about 15mm new cars sold a year and about 280mm cars registered in the US. Remember that the “average age” includes all registered cars, so all the way back to model T’s and whatever else. Our house personally has two cars that are 17 and 11 years old.
That is true, but this thing was billed as a SUPER CAPABLE truck that could withstand the apocalypse if I am not mistaken.
It is fine if you understand what you are doing. But other than having to turn mine on if it is raining during the day, my auto lights work perfectly and I never have to worry about driving around with only my DRL’s on at night like dunce.
Insane stuff, I guess if you didn’t turn your lights off they would stay on, but that hasn’t been the case in 20+ years.
Hmm, interesting. I literally can’t imagine saying/writing this and thinking, “yep, that is a good idea.”
When you get a conversion kit from strut masters you can get a light fix module with it for a few extra bucks.
Yea, I guess that makes sense. Just feels like the air suspension is always a problem, but maybe it is more that I see a lot of older ones with more problems.
I guess, I just prefer the ease of coils vs having to worry about the air struts.
Those are also the clowns that inexplicable turn their lights to “off” instead of just leaving it on auto like any sane person. My boss does this and it drives me mad! He thinks the lights will never turn off, even when the car is turned off. But he doesn’t know that if you double click the lock button the lights go…
We have speed cams in our area and they all ticket at 10mph over. Which I find wildly dumb, it should be fixed to a percentage. 10 over in a 60 and 10 over in a 15mph zone are vastly different. I feel like 20% is an OK number, so 30 in a 25 or 12 over in a 60. I guess with lower speeds, say 0-20 you could fix it at…
I wouldn’t mind meeting the lawyer that decided that was the way to go on this one. I know not all lawyers are despicable, but man, they don’t seem to do themselves much good.
First off, why are you in the grays, lol? But I get you on that end and that makes sense. Love the E550, I really want a CLK or E ‘vert at some point here soon.
Yep, I agree. If you get a leak, I would just go coils from strutmaster to replace instead of dealing with air ride. Because as soon as one corner goes bad, you know the next one or three are just waiting for you to look at them wrong to fail as well.
Yea, I did think of that. Good call. I just know a lot of times when the leak is small, the car is fine while on or just after running, but once it sits (depending on leak) a day or so, you really see the sag.
This is a pretty cool idea, but I probably would have just gone with coils instead of staying on the air ride. Mostly because I don’t want to have to deal with these repairs over and over since you know you will eventually need to do all 4 corners.
