Yea, it definitely is. 

I actually just randomly made the meeting without thinking about anything else, more just convenience. I need to be in DuBois that AM and then in Pittsburgh for Tuesday and Meadville was somewhere I wanted to get to, and afternoon of the 8th made sense from travel perspective.

I will actually be in Meadville, which is just South of Erie (the name on that map that is due south of Erie). The only thing that might be a challenge is I have a meeting an hour and a half away that morning, that should be done around noon-1pm, so might be close but we shall see.

In an absolutely hilarious twist of fate. I am going to be at a meeting that day, that is in the path of totality, 6 hours from my house, most likely during the eclipse. Guess I am getting paid to see the Eclipse.

I know W gets a lot of hate. But man, sometimes he just comes off as a lovable goof ball without trying.

In a hilarious twist of fate, I just realized will actually be near Erie, PA that day around the time they are expected to have a total eclipse. Too fucking funny.

Sounds cool and all, but just doesn’t do much for me. Happy it makes others happy though. Looks like they happen about once every 18 months, but obviously much less frequent when you take static locations into account.

Maybe I would travel an hour, especially if the wife and kids wanted to go. But by myself, not happening.

I get that it is a unique event, but I am not traveling more than MAYBE 30 min. to see this if I had the chance. I have seen nighttime a few thousand times, I think I’ll be OK without the Eclipse.

He left out one semi-big detail, where in Bmore does he live? Viper is a no go unless he has a garage, BMW and Audi, ehhh. Probably OK in most places, but a target in others and the RS is probably fine.

Toll number is hard to calculate as most traffic will be diverted to 895/95 tunnels which both have tolls. Truck traffic (some or maybe most?) will most likely need to use west side of 695 which does not have tolls, so there will be some loss, but no idea how much.

Clearing the downed bridge ASAP is more important than rebuilding the bridge at this point. There are ways to get around the bridge not being a bridge anymore.
