Again, I do not agree with the tariff as stated, just saying that it leading to “runaway inflation and joblessness” is a dubious at best claim. I also think that it would hurt the buying of “want” not “need” items and would just lead to people buying less of those “wanted” goods.

That could possibly happen, but if most of these goods are wants and not needs, with a higher cost less will be bought. We get a lot of cheap stuff from China that makes up the lower end of the industry/retail sector. Chinese clothes and doo dads haven’t put other clothing and doo dad companies out of business

I am sure modern work is better, but it still doesn’t stay perfect.

“Still, Trump’s tariffs were put on a relatively small share of all the goods consumers purchase. Several studies show they only marginally contributed to US inflation that followed the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Less will be imported and bought and other local items that don’t have tariffs will be bought or substituted. Most of these items are not necessities, so overall that same may be spent, just less items purchased. Inflation is caused by too much money chasing too few goods, tariffs don’t really change the first part

Tattoo lines don’t stay perfect as the ink diffuses out, this thing probably won’t work in a year or two.

While I do not agree with this exactly. But do think we need to take a good hard look at vehicle imports from China and Chinese companies. How do you figure these tariffs would lead to “runaway inflation and joblessness”?

I am a sucker for AMG’s, so I went NP. Not that I would actually buy this, but for someone looking for this, it looks good and the price is pretty nice.

Any of the 55 AMGs from that time frame.

Fisker, man. I called that one a long time ago and was set to make decent money on their demise, but got screwed over. The fact that their CFO is Henrik’s wife and their head accountant quit after a month or so on the job tells you all you need to know.

I mean, no? Toyota has essentially launched all new models as either Hybrid only or Hybrid available for the past 4 or 5 years now. New Camry is Hybrid only. Sure, some or a lot of SUV’s, but unfortunately, that is what sells the best here in the US.

I missed this one or forgot to submit. But with the Tesla Roadster listed, the best answer is right there, Lotus Elsie/Exige. Wish they weren’t so dang expensive, or I might own one now. That plus younger kids make it hard, but hopefully I can get one in the next 10 years or so.

People are really out here paying over MSRP for Nissan’s, Hyundai’s and Kia’s? Yikes!!!

Yea..about that...

What are your thoughts on owning an orphan car? Fisker probably isn’t long for this world.

If you think the review is the reason for the decline, you should probably read this article...

Not sure I was 100% clear, but I meant $100/year more than an EV would be. Things that EV’s don’t have, which is relatively limited to ICE engine and transmission. I have done suspension and brakes, but those are not unique to a ICE/Hybrid/PHEV vehicle. I think any EV would need struts after 284k miles and brakes

Tell me you don’t understand gross vs net pay without telling me you don’t understand it.

Henriks wife is the CFO...

Henrik’s wife is the CFO...”nothing to see here”.
