So then you agree that literally every retail outlet is an antiquated model? I don’t buy my eggs from the farmer all the time or the milk from the dairy or pretty much anything from the manufacturer.

Technically the ‘24 Camry still exists and is available with a V6. The ‘25 will be hybrid only, but isn’t out quite yet.
“...which is more than seven times less than its debut price of $78 in November 2021"
This tells you all that you need to know about Jag sales rates. They will not produce a car for 6-8 months (or more) and still have enough inventory, then introduce a $125k car and STILL have enough inventory, fucking YIKES.
Ehh, I wouldn’t be so sure of that. A lot of mergers like that can have a lot of efficiencies that lead to making more money. I don’t know the details, but they obviously wanted to do it, so I would assume there was some real basis for making the move beyond doing it, “for the hell of it”.
Yea, that is crazy.
Next gen 4Runner coming end of this year, expect similar to new Tacoma on powertrain front, possibly similar to the new LC too since they all run on the same platform.
Worse than that, this lawsuit is being brought by three passengers, so they would share the payout amongst themselves and their lawyers. So, of the 180 people on board, only three would see any of this money.
1,700 pounds heavier? Holy smokes, that is like an entire NA Miata that went on a diet.
While I agree on that first point. The second point, I am not so sure I agree with. The amount of money it takes to build EV’s and then sell them is significant and you can only eat losses for so long.
Jag could certainly go BK due to moving to EV’s. It isn’t cheap to do or easy and if you see how much other OEM’s lose/lost doing it, you can see how it might be problematic. Now, if they didn’t the outcome could still be the same, but just not as quickly.
If you take a more detailed look at the EV market, outside of Tesla and some of the Chinese companies, that entire segment of the auto industry is doing VERY poorly. I don’t know all the Chinese companies outside of BYD and NIO (I did find this list: BYD, Nio, Wuling, Xpeng, and Zeekr) But past Tesla, with maybe…
There are so many to choose from. As Charger Fan said, “a list of ones that won’t go bankrupt is easier”. The ones that are not currently in the running for BK are all the legacy OEM’s outside of maybe a few smaller ones on the luxury side.
“This experience jeopardized the lives of the 174 passengers and six crew members that were onboard.”
What a tie up and lost OEM and losing EV maker, what could go wrong here?
Yea, I guess in store means cash sales, but not 100% sure on that. Maybe the inside payment terminal still worked for cards?
Unsure, have just heard about it.
We are talking about air pods here, if you find something that someone left behind that is just how it works. Like I said, you should, if you can, try and find the rightful owner and obviously with a car, it is much easier. If I find something and someone shows me it is theirs, I will gladly give it back. But these…
Yea, that is insane. I won’t say I never look at my phone, but very rarely am I actively using my phone unless at a dead stop. I really need to update my head unit so I can have android auto in case I really need to respond or answer a call.
Good to hear and happy you like it. Just not my cup of tea for whatever reason. I don’t know much about them though. Hopefully for you they can make it, not sure how I would feel owning an orphan car.
