Yep, that is why it is a crap shoot.

Just saw it is in CA, a bit of a pain for me to get.

Yep, definitely a combo of requirements and supplier deals.

Go look at their financials. Nothing they have other than building and selling cars and car adjacent items create revenue. We have talked about how their charging side of the business is low margin other than that, what do they or are they going to do to drive growth and revenue? They are a car builder and car

That is true, but newer cars are lasting longer than ever. So it will be a bigger problem for longer.

Yep, it always hurts when you are right, but your timing is off.

Ahh, I forgot the titles are links. I got lucky by asking on that one in particular I guess! Thanks!

Newer cars are inherently more expensive to insure than older cars. I don’t really care about me in this, but more about others that it could make a difference in affordability. At the end of the day, if you have insurance, you are paying for everyone else that has that carrier and any losses that are realized by that

Good luck with your search!

Yes, left on red from a red light cam doesn’t get reported to police, insurance or anyone else. Niether of us have been pulled over and cited with a moving violation that involves points being assigned to our licenses. So those are not real infractions.

Hilarious because Hybrids and PHEV’s are literally electrified. I have two of them and they can both be “EV” for some drive time.

Like 21 Savage said, “A lot”. I wonder if more than any of the 250 GTO’s though?

Going 80 in a 70 with little to no traffic is not excessive speeding.

I know, but FB and nationwide searches aren’t easy.

If they couldn’t cap your speed, they could easily put you in a non-discounted bracket. They are insurance companies, not good people.

Not if your car doesn’t have OBDII, then you can’t.

Yea, that would make sense. I guess it would then matter on how the insurance would implement it on their end.

The proposed California version is hard capped at the speed limit. I would be more into limiting non-highway’s at their speed limits, but at the end of the day, it wouldn’t do much to me.

I am not sure how leaving earlier makes up for savings 50+ minutes on the road driving, but OK.

If you wait for every registered car to have this tech, it would essentially never go into use, the insurance part that is. At least not in most likely my or your lifetime. I still see Model T’s a few times a year on the road and obviously cars from the 60's and up relatively frequently.
