Where did anyone say anything about banning them? That’s a pretty knee-jerk reaction.

The idea that people are gonna buy the cars they like because they like them is sound. The comparison between large truck buyers and other vehicular demographics isn’t as clear. I was musing on this today after reading the article and your comment, and arrived at this thought:

Here’s the thing.  Big tires?  roof racks?  slight lift?  These are the things that are easily and cheaply solved in the aftermarket.  You know what these models NEED and can’t be provided by the aftermarket?  Transmissions that don’t pull power, overheat and die after 50,000 miles when used off-road.

48 miles

I’ve written this about this car before.

“well reasoned counterpoint” you say?

No they don’t lol. Consumers get what companies tell them they want.

As a young person, I’d like to not have my quality of life ruined by climate change and have the opportunity to have kids without facing the truth that their life would absolutely be worse than mine as a result of climate change. I’m absolutely

America is a nation divided along many lines these days, but I believe we can all come together as one and agree, regardless of race, political leanings, age, or gender, that these new BMW designs are awful. This could be what saves the country from falling apart.

ebikers have found new and novel ways of pissing people off.

Washington too?

That’s not really true, $36k can get you a Tacoma TRD Off-Road, which I own and is just as comfortable as friend’s crossovers and just as well appointed as this, ok the handling is less “car-like” but it’s perfectly acceptable.

My exact thought process on this one:

I almost always (99.5%) of the time go thumbs-down on Some Guys Project.

Interesting that the person mentions the Gladiator as being a hot item. There are numerous articles throughout 2020 where the Gladiator has $9k+ cash on the hood.

I guess, like the old F-4 Phantom, you can make anything fly if you put enough power in it. But this thing is frickin’ useless as a truck. And it’s way too clumsy and heavy for a hot rod.

Nah, it doesn’t say “Jeep”.

They have a $40k budget. Spend $25k on the fast car, spend $15k on a totally decent Toyota Avalon or something with plenty of room for the car seat.

1. Please, please do not ruin a remaining FD RX-7 by converting it to a “track car”.

Slightly used M240 is the proper answer to this question. Ideally it would be an M2, but if you can’t find one in your budget go M240 with some upgrade.
