Everybody is overthinking this.
Everybody is overthinking this.
Most of the Tesla owners I know are republican country club guys and the USA piece of the puzzle is significant. Made in China is not likely to be ok.
Anecdotal observation. Many of the Tesla owners in my community are heavily invested in the American made story of Tesla. Chinese imports may result in a lot of “mustang” sales.
It wasn’t gifts. He’s on the hook.
It seems like Musks string of luck has run out. Selling TSLA while it is this far down (Value has been more than cut in half YTD) is a desperate move or shows he has little confidence in recovery. Either way, what’s the over under that he is dispatched from the Technoking throne by this time next year?
I don’t think pep would be enough to offset the CVT hybrid experience and the extra weight. If you want a fun mid sized sedan built by Honda you are going to have to dig into your pockets for an Acura.
You are probably right. Sadly this update completely removes any pretense of engaging the enthusiast market. The 2.0 with the 10 speed was a reasonable sedan for somebody who likes a little fun with their practical daily driver.
Blandness ages well. Commitment...Not so much.
I think it looks far better than the current model. It’s too bad about the 2.0 Turbo, that car ran well. I doubt losing 50hp and the extra weight of the hybrid system will result in a car nearly as good.
Mag chloride is banned in many Colorado counties as a road treatment.
Most Front Range Coloradans don’t prepare their cars for winter. 99% of the time that’s fine most days are mild and roads are clear. Then this happens:
I think the thick skulled natives are the biggest problem. The Texans rank second because they think their trucks are invincible. But the way some drivers with late stage all seasons on their CrossTrek dive into a storm is breathtaking in its recklessness.
“Most of the population is from California or Texas now so no, no one is.“
I’m guessing you’ve never been to Denver. The snow never stays put for two months and most people don’t bother with snow tires. Most of the snow melts off within a day or two of a storm. We get big piles of snow that make national news but more often than not, we shovel it wearing t-shirts.
Denver has far more mild weather than you realize. Most people don’t fit their cars with snow tires. You get a few large storms per year then it melts off the next day. It’s far more mild than the Midwest.
Single dad one kid. We did a 2 door mini for a while*. It was sometimes a PITA but 99 days out of 100 it was plenty. Some days if neighbors wanted help with school runs we couldn’t pitch in. After a couple of years with a mini pretty much anything seems huge.
FIFY.
This is not a normal recession. Previous recession logic does not apply. We have a shortage of goods driving inflation and the fed is using the playbook based on completely different historic circumstances.
I am not sure “boy racers first car” is a great marketing strategy.
Jeep is a such an iconic brand here that it allows, whatever the hell the parent company is called, to get away with murderous murder on quality control. It’s the vehicle that conquered the Axis powers.
