Yes, the British tabloids seem to be determined to bury the new team before they even start. I wonder who is feeding these stories to the press? On the other hand, I wouldn’t be surprised if Evans is difficult to manage. He has his own production company, Ginger Productions, so in all his previous TV, he has been in

Ummm... Pretty sure that’s a Wolseley, dude.

Probably a lot more horses available if someone takes the time to connect that fuel pump up to something

The ‘Calder’ sign in the left background might be Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne, Australia

Really? BMC were making the B-series from 1954, and the Datsun G-Series started in 1960. The Bore & Stroke of each was quite different, the Nissan version being oversquare and the BMC version very long-stroke. Also, the MGB started in 1962, a year before the SP310 Datsun. The Bristol thing is mostly true, though.

You’re right. I was thinking more the early 80’s, when you could genuinely buy an Aston DB4 or Ferrari 250GTE for the same price as a top of the range Ford Mondeo. Once people started making (and wanting to hide) huge sums of money in the mid-decade, prices started to spiral.

Naah, not 1988. In 1988 you could buy a DB4 Zagato for about £300,000 and a 911 turbo for £50,000. Sadly for us mortals, classic cars, once the hobby of the comfortably wealthy, are now the exclusive domain of the 0.1%. It has become a racket, just like fine art and antique furniture.

These two. I built the car in 1999 and kept it until 2005. I know where it is, and also that it hasn’t been on the road for a couple of years. I built the bike in 2006, and it’s now in County Cork, Republic of Ireland.

If it's all the same with you, I think I'll just walk over to the toilet block.

They’ve been chucking motor home bodies on small vans in Europe for half a century: Transits, Bedfords, VW Transporters, anything, in fact with an engine and chassis. Cutest is the Suzuki Super Carry conversion.

Even better news.... All LR 101s are now over 25 years old!

I think they were only sold off at specialist auctions, and they were expensive. For the few who did get hold of one, the 8 mpg (UK) was more that a little discouragement to long-distance adventuring ambitions.

Sadly, Morgan isn't on the Admissibility List. You'll just have to wait 15 years, or build your own :-(

His first bump was relatively minor. Atkinson’s second crash (in the pic) is rumored to be the UK’s largest ever insurance claim for a single vehicle. The UK’s largest ever vehicle-related insurance settlement was the Great Heck train crash, where a car with trailer ran off a motorway onto the East Coast Main railway

Can somebody please buy me a Citroen GS? Pretty please?

...which I think makes it a Reliant Rialto. One of the last to stumble off the Tamworth production line.

Ha! Someone beat me to it. I’m actually in Canada, but I’m not sure I want to cough up C$5000 right now...

Dealer Team Vauxhall FTW! Is that an ex-Tony Pond car?

Nice Price! Throw in a 2300 slant four with twin 45DCOEs, fit some Minilites and blister wheelarches and... RALLY CAR! There’s guys in the UK who would happily pay for this plus shipping to re-shell a genuine Vauxhall Chevette 2300HSR.

Thanks for that. I might buy the books and just frame the pages for my wall!
