I’m sure the driver didn’t intend to drive into the building, so it would be safe to say that the entire incident was caused by unintended acceleration. The question is whether this was uncommanded acceleration. Words matter.

Except the picture shows a frame that is very much not galvanized.

The Marina 2-door ‘Coupe’ was never sold as a sports car. The majority of them were a 1275cc budget family car as shown in the picture. A small number were made as the 1800 TC, which had a cheapened-down version of the MGB engine, but no improvements to the rest of the drivetrain or suspension. The 1800 TC was clearly

100% this. The pivot to Electric vehicles does not have to involve ‘steer by wire’. Road vehicles have had perfectly good mechanical steering systems for over 100 years, with near 0% failure rate.  So much of what is going on with EV technology is more about building The Wonder Vehicle of the Future than just

Bear in mind that even mass production sports cars from this era felt a bit like kit cars :-)

It’s a pretty big jump from ‘death investigation involving a suicide’ to ‘the cops put it there’.  Alternative scenario:  Employee put hidden camera in women’s bathroom, got found out and then killed themselves.  That would also explain why the police aren’t looking for any suspects.

Juan Browne of the YouTube Blancolirio channel had an interesting take on this. The factory that builds the fuselages in Kansas has a different QA / QC system to the plant in Renton. Opening the door in during final assembly to install the interior wasn’t classed as a ‘Removal’, so there was no flag to the QA people

Thankyou! Someone who understands that Cd numbers are a ‘per square foot’ measure. The Audi 100 had a Cd of o.3 back in the 1980s, but had about a third of the frontal area of the cybertruck.  Total drag should be the headline number.

Wait, so trucks only need 1/8" tread depth on the fronts and 1/16" on the others? That’s insane. Given that each tyre has to move a gallon of water out of the way every second, that doesn’t sound anywhere near enough for even a light rain shower.

Contrast the USA, where the means of production own the government.

Meanwhile, Sweden is still committed to Zero road deaths.

How about forcing the CEO, board and 150 of Sprit Aero’s biggest shareholders to take a flight in a 737Max every day for a couple of months.  That might concentrate their minds on QC.

The Europa has a backbone chassis very similar to the Elan.  It doesn’t need a roof, just like the countless Elan convertibles.

Yeah, right. Singapore, where chewing gum in public is a felony. (Probably)

A pint of Tequila shouldn’t be a misdemeanour. It should be a felony

The V12 is definitely not the one you want.  Engine is waaay to heavy, doesn’t produce much power and is criminally thirsty.  The 3.8 is the one you really want.

Are those all genuine screenshots of people who have appeared on Fox news?  It’s a pretty limited demographic, isn’t it?
