Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. You can just buy the real Tesla upgrade for $2k via the phone app that controls the car. It couldn’t be easier. Definitely not worth risking the warranty or updates or even just having warnings popping up all the time in a $50k car to save $500.

Epoxying a lamp will not impress a German inspector. They are fierce on that sort of stuff, there is no way they’ll overlook the crack.  The headlamp and turn signal are going to need to be replaced, I’d put money on it.
