Yes, the standard of proof necessary in the Civil Court System of the United States is not sufficient in NFL investigations. Billion dollar contract breach, OK. Deflation of balls, needs stricter standard.

“More likely than not” is enough to rule against someone in any civil suit. It’s legalese, not just “well, gosh, I guess they did it...”

Porsche offers customizable floor mats with leather edging for $645.

Wow, so keen to prove your expertise to strangers on the internet. You should be careful about that.

Former fast boat guy here. I agree with pretty much everything you said. Sounds like a whiny nub who was overwhelmed by his first patrol. For someone who admittedly doesn’t know much, and is pretty low ranking in the pecking order, seems to jump to a lot of conclusions about parts of the ship he knows nothing about.

Agreed, someone pointed out that 650m is too deep as well though. Now I am wondering if they meant to say it exceeded by 65 m. I have been finding it hard to find where in his paper he says that though.

If I were building a custom off road camper here is where I would start

I wish someone would mail this to the press. Great writeup.

Thanks, Fightingforcesadviser! A mishmash of copy-pastes from wikipedia shows just what a trusted expert you are.

Okay, I read most of it. I was on a Trident sub years ago and I can tell you this guy is mostly full of shit.

Yeah, 65 metres sounds like Pre-WWII capability.

How much does someone in such a low ranked position really know?

“The base 2.0-liter turbo four does 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.”

GM was clever to bait-and-switch all the auto writers like that, so that the new V6 Camaro acts more epic than it actually might.

My one thing that I don’t like is that it looks way to similar to the 5th gen. Typically when the camaro enters a new generation the looks change a ton. This is just kind of sad.

To be fair, the Russians and Chinese might well like to kidnap him. There’s a lot of security around submariners, as the boats are seriously high tech, and contain all sorts of classified systems that the Russians and Chinese would love to get their hands on. I’m quite sure that the same applies in the other direction

You just opened up Jalopnik’s single most fervent debate.

The $64,000 question: How much does it weigh?

Surprising you can see as much as you can of the Russian Submarine’s impeller because you will never see a picture of an US impeller in a picture. Once a US sub hits port and is docked/impeller comes out of the water a little bit the impeller is covered. I know the Russian Sub Impeller is covered up and masked a lot
