The best tool for cleaning wheels is a cheap makeup brush.  Just add your cleaner of choice and let the thousands of tiny bristles do the work.  Leather, Suede, cloth, vinyl, etc. all get squeaky clean.

Carbon fiber really doesn’t save much weight versus extruded aluminum.  Check out the weight in the carbon fiber 4C tub versus Lotus extruded aluminum tub - 19 pounds and the Lotus tub was first installed in...wait for it...2004.

I cannot understand why manufacturers wouldn’t want a standard protocol to share data between cars. It can do nothing but help semi-autonomous and autonomous driving as it will allow cars to pass back information about road hazards, conditions, speeds, etc.

I hadn’t really considered that, but you’re right. If you’re only going on soft trails, the rear overhang issue doesn’t harm you at all, but you will get acres of extra space with the pickup version and the same interior space.
