Hold up now! Lotus never EVER promised reliability or quality.
What I mean by that is any car can be a crapbox (hell there are Civics and Corolla hell stories down below) if it is not properly cared for. Sure some cars are more likely to be headaches (anything from VW), but by and large a good used car is one that was properly cared for.
Current Wranglers already have outlets in them.
A good outdoor mouser is worth thousands of dollars worth of chemicals/traps/barriers/etc.. Cats go HAM on rodents.
Abandoning one’s car should only be used a last resort, that much is clear.
The size of the Valkerie is simply amazing.
$70,000 is cheap for a luxury SUV that is actually capable of doing SUV things. Sure, most buyers aren’t going to tow or get off the pavement, but these do as well at those things as any other large SUV.
I don’t understand why folks don’t always choose the ESV. The regular size is already a PIA in cities and parking lots. The ESV really doesn’t carry much of a penalty in maneuverability or mileage, but it adds a LOT of cargo space.
An actual NFL linebacker drove our Exige S. I am not making that up.
The difference being, of course, that the Merc is assembled with fine Deutsche craftspeople and precision robots, whereas the Dodge was assemble by Billy-Earl-Bob-Ray Jr. III, using his high-fructose corn syrup-infused forearms and the power of diabetes:
Emissions are emissions. Fixed or mobile it doesn’t matter. If any enemy knows you have fixed SAM sites they whack them preemptively. If they’re mobile they just have Wild Weasels standing by waiting to kill them. Mobiles SAM units are also have very limited capabilities. If you want to deploy any serious SAM system…
I got to 1 up you here. The ES300/330/350 is simply a tarted up Camry, but it also comes with a nicer interior, a cushier and quieter ride, and a bit of brand swag. As they age, the price spread between a Camry and ES narrows considerably.
Its either an ES330 (350) or RX330 (350). Both are available all day for less than $20,000. Both have a quiet, cushy ride that non-car folks love. Both are dead reliable. Both have a bit of brand swag.
In before “You guys are dumb. It’s Korean junk, there is no way it’s that good”
My vote goes to a 1st gen MX-5 Miata in good condition, not too many miles, in a popular bright colour for only $8000... like this one:
Hmmm, nothing in there about the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children that died after the US blasted all their food and water infrastructure into rubble, then imposed sanctions that led to a mass famine.
Everyone will breathe a sigh of relief when the dealer networks cease to exist. They no longer have a necessary role in buying, selling, or repairing cars.
Going to be some t-top or removable section type thing.
