I do not think an EV would be able to handle the battery load of stop and go for 10 to 12 hour a day either. A Prius type hybrid would be the best application for this kind of duty.

Not sure but I think this one ran on peanut butter. It did out perform the current model so it is not the worst one we ever got.
The thing came with a automatic mounted between the rear wheels to give it more of a 50/50 weight distrubution. HA! it could not get out of its own way not to mention worry about handleing. I love them for what they are, a production kit car but performance was forgotten.

I am thinking the Rosenbauer Panther 4x4 has a few possibilities. Rosenbauer currently markets it as a high monility fire truck but with a little fabricating I could outfit it with a EMP proof electrical system and a fallout proof cabin. I also like the 650HP Detroit Diesel.
