Welcome to wordplay in title construction. Now that you are armed with the concept, I think you may also enjoy the challenge of tackling “Mad Men”, “Transparent”, “Arrested Development”, and the holy grail of the field (still unsolved and contentious among experts) “Good Will Hunting”.

I would think it’s meant to be parsed as both - and if you read the book, at least, you see that both meanings hold up.

That’s absolutely absurd.

One would think that if they’re approaching this is bad faith, yes.

I voted for Hillary and I think she would have been a pretty damn good President, but let’s not pretend that she was a passionate advocate for things like single payer healthcare, or even gun control. On all of these issues she was left of center, but always took care to stay within the realm of what moderate

Some other choice quotes from the video (which is honestly worth watching in its entirety). Apologies in advance for any typos:

thank you for this disclosure. so few journalists have your integrity!!!

For the record, I still sincerely enjoy The Wedding Singer and Big Daddy.

This kid is clearly in the pocket of Big Pancake.

It wasn’t a waffle, it was an honest admittance that she’s still learning about the complexities involved. If she’s “mentored” by senior Dems and comes down on the other side, then it’s more disappointing as a sign she might do the same on other issues, but for now it’s a push.

I was just this morning told by my boss that, ‘it’s been noticed that you’ve been out a lot this year.’ I took a week of vacation in February, a week of vacation in June, and I’m taking two days next week. Otherwise, I haven’t really taken much vacation over the last few years. The February trip was a saving up of

It upsets me so much, just knowing that there are smug little bastards like this one still out there thinking themselves righteous victors because they got off scot-free. There are so many horrific things men do to women that it can be overwhelming sometimes, but what really gets to me is just the thought of all these

I was in a Rocky Horror cast that relocated to a theater two blocks from the school I was teaching at. I had to quit the cast. If one parent showed up at that show and saw my Magenta, my job was toast.

  1. Get yourself a hidden cam (or just a mic) and get him to take you through what he did

I don’t know if that’s right to be honest. Not my call.

Well (1) it’s not “incredibly” strong anywhere, and (2) the “rubber room” is because the city can’t be fucking bothered to investigate things in a timely manner, NOT because there’s some superhumanly strong union. My state has arguably the strongest union in the country, and we don’t do any of that rubber room shit.

From the sounds of it their union is weak. Even then, they typically have morality clauses in their negotiated contracts.

not a libertarian, but feel like maybe I should point out that I don’t see any libertarians saying that she got what she deserved or whatever. They are usually pretty pro-privacy.

I know a guy, a police officer. He dated a fellow officer for a few years. When they broke up in a messy fashion he posted multiple pictures of her on-line. He faced no sanction, but within a year she was essentially forced to quit. He’s still on the job. I’ve heard he considers it vindication.

Revenge porn is terrible, but as a teacher, I’m struck at the standard teachers are held to (can’t have anything bad happen NEAR you, not just can’t do bad things).
