Baseball is a complete joke. Everything about it could be changed for the better if not for old farts who don't like change and those getting way too much money out of the status quo. This is just one more example heaped upon a pile of examples attesting to this fact.

Yes! I'm a gods damned supertaster and bitter flavors are death to me. It's so frustrating to go into a bar now and only and IPA's and Pale Ale's to choose from. At least put a tasty wheat on tap. :(

Where's the fun in that?

No way man! You always have the interwebs to look up homo erotic wrestling pics.

Well at least you took the time to state your opinion so it must not have been that irrelevant.

Let's remember, he's only an athlete and he only entertains. He's not a doctor, nor a scientist, nor a statesman. So judge whatever actions he takes with that in mind.

That's true, it will hurt their name recognition. But I don't think that matters as much as getting paid for every minute that they play professionally. As for the NBA allowing HS players. I personally think 18 is too young to be a professional. I kind of with the NBA would set up a full scale developmental league

This is 100% an NCAA problem. They are in jeopardy of losing all of the star recruits to overseas leagues. If you were a star recruit, why wouldn't you go to Europe of China for a few million while you gain experience and prepare for the NBA? I really hope this happens and the NCAA crashes and burns.

Yahoo weather doesn't seem to capture the San Francisco microclimates. Weather Underground seems to do a much better job at that.

I think to even come close to parity you'd have to normalize the WAR number to the number of offensive players on a team. Since baseball has 9 scoring slots and basketball 5, you'd have to normalize the basketball number to the baseball number. I'm not very strong in math so I'll let someone else figure that out.

Whoa whoa whoa! This is BS. Phillies fans are no bandwagoners. We suffer when our team loses and we suffer from a sort of PTSD and hence we just can't go to the games when they suck.....it hurts too much.

OK, my wording was off. I apologize.

Thanks for the clarification. It's difficult to get clear knowledge of these laws and how they are interpreted and enacted.

That was tapping over the phone, which is clearly stated as illegal in the laws (even in California). Illegally recording phone calls has been a no no for a very long time. That law does not (yet) extend to in person private conversations. Besides, there was also clear intent by Linda Tripp to record Lewinsky and

Then show me precedent. And you don't have to be a lawyer to able to read and understand it. When you do, you will notice that the implication of each section is that you are "intercepting" or "eavesdropping". You also quoted the wrong section:

632. (a) Every person who, intentionally and without the consent of all

Could be I'm reading it incorrectly. The laws are so vague at times. But from everything I have found, there is no precedent where one person records a conversation without consent and is charged with a crime for it. The law wasn't written for that express purpose. But I can see how someone could read into it this

Yes, everyone keeps throwing this law out there. This law was passed with the intent of preventing those who are not party to a private conversation from recording or listening to said conversation. Unfortunately the law is vague enough to allow some to interpret it in such a way that they can claim that "no person"

I addressed this with another poster. California is a "two-party consent" state. Here is a quote from this link that sums it up for this circumstance.

On Fact #2 - This law was created with the intent of preventing third parties from recording private conversations. So it would be criminal for TMZ to bug Sterlings residence to capture this conversation. But V. Sitviano (sp) was an active participant in the conversation and thus required no consent from Sterling to

I don't care what Donald Sterling said quite frankly. But let's get some facts straight here because a lot of people seem to be confused.
