The Chevrolet Impala is ceasing production next week

Now playing

Wicken’s crash at Pocono two years ago. I was afraid he died.

Keeping Newman, Blaney, and LaJoie in my heart tonight. Ryan needs all the prayers he can get right now. I can't imagine how Ryan Blaney and Corey are feeling right now. I hope all of them can look back on this one day and say "that was scary, but we all made it through ok."

Jeff Gordon was in tears as they signed off not a good sign

Not the worst wreck I've seen, but, the mood certainly reminds me of 2001.

I learned when I tried my hand at autocrossing. Being great at car control is not the same as fast. The really fast guys don’t seem to need good car control because they don’t get the car out of shape in the first place. (Admittedly, this is the wet on slicks, which is means you will get crossed up regardless.)

I worked for Justin Bell’s racing school for a summer back when they had C5 Z06's and Camaro SS’s.

Forget the C7 Z06...that’s a slower time than the C6 Z06 (7:22.68, 2012 car), which should be a much more comparable car. Both right around 500hp, and C6 had a manual transmission vs the DCT on the C8 which should be advantage to the C8.

MURICA!

I guess the distinction that is being made is that the LaFerrari was a very limited special project, the SF90 is not a limited production vehicle in that way; I’ve heard discussion of 2000 to 3000 units.

And he’s no longer with us, now is he?

Yes, because everyone who disagrees with your punk-ass *must* therefore be “a Russian agent”.

Yes, because reading the sky-is-falling dispatch from an interest group peddling panic is always the way to make sound policy decisions.

“This is a perfect case of Ferrari ass-showing: create an SUV nobody wants”

This reminds me of when Ferrari thought they could get away with naming the LaFerrari the F150.

Entitled asshole car company that makes cars for entitled assholes, acts like an entitled asshole. Details at 11

Means their next sponsor will be Nissan - ‘Helping partners skirt bankruptcy!’

GM is bringing back the wrong brand. All GM-made EVs should be Saturn. I personally never had a problem with Hummer, but if they honestly think people have forgotten the Hummer Stigma from 15 years ago, they’re on Mars. It’s the same stupidity that gave us the Yukon Hybrid. Great technology, worked well, nobody bought

Just two days ago I remarked that I didn’t know if I could buy a Cybertruck, or a Rivian.
