Needed hypersofts!
It is still so hard for me to wrap my head around a company making good solid money, but a bunch of people that monitor the market think it should make more money, so that company is considered a “junk” option. To paraphrase a line from the Gladiator, “the mob is fickle brother”.
This is great for Indycar. They need this series to be on every premier circuit in North America. Personally, I would like to see them ditch every street race personally, Long Beach and Belle Isle included. I know there seem to be some big wrecks every year (tv loves it), but it does not do as much for as me seeing…
I feel bad for this car. The combination of having the Top End neutered for GT3 rules homologation and the super expensive maintenance caused teams to drop it, seemingly in favor of almost anything else. I hope the 720GT3 does not suffer the same fate! The 650 had some awesome showings, the most memorably for me at…
I would assume its 4.0L. I am getting hints of DTM from that engine note as well. Slightly oaky in the middle with a lightly acidic finish.
I had the same thought. The design language is so similar between the models. I imagine this will be a 720s with new bodywork, bumped up power, but largely the same monocoque and share at least 80% of its bits and pieces with the 720s. Maybe its totally new and I just don’t read enough?
Your first point you mentioned is probably the most important. They could use any excuse to get rid of him and get a kid in there that can pay. Santino made it easy for them to give him the boot. If his checks cleared I am sure there would be more wiggle room.
You’re not wrong. That’s why I said *some* ground because they have driven away 45% of their viewer base. I agree with everything you said, but having the race be exciting is a good start. Budgets will start to shrink soon, even for the big wangs like SHR, JGR, Furniture Row, Penske and the sport will reset. Penske…
This was a great freaking finish. Glad I had the chance to actually watch the end of this one. This is what makes NASCAR exciting, this is the type of racing many fans that have recently walked way grew up on. If this can happen more often than not, NASCAR can get some ground back. Much like Wes Mantooth and Ron…
5th Gear:
The take from Adam Stern nailed it in that second to last paragraph. The big teams could spend big up front, hit the wind tunnel, get data, cheat up parts. By the 3rd race the big teams would be way out front again. For what its worth, the folks I know in the sport just wish the rules would stay the same for a whole…
I can only hope for forgiveness.
Its almost like you have seen this happen before!
I don’t. When I had my ATS, It was too comfortable. I would get drowsy on long trips. In my 1500, there is a little to much bounce and it makes me car sick if I rest my head for more than 30 seconds.
As we approach Fathers day, and as a Dad myself, I am a connoisseur of fine jean shorts, white sneakers, and grilling. Also, I love puns and dad jokes. On behalf of Dads everywhere, we Saablute you on your awesome use of Puns in the creation of the post headlines. Just Saablime.
Move the exhaust up top, more room for aero hocus-pocus underneath! They make some killer cars these days. Too bad its coming at the expense of their F1 success.
As soon as it was apparent that Vettel was on a one stop strategy, I turned it off. It was a clunker for sure. I understand driving to a delta is probably here to stay, but boy it stinks the show up.
Yes. Yes. Yes. GET THE CARS OFF THE GROUND. Go back to mechanical grip. This takes some of the advantage away from JGR/SHR who can spend 100's of hours in the wind tunnel every year and gives smaller teams who can still figure out how to work shocks/springs/swaybars a fighting chance. Look, $$ = wins so the big teams…
The 4.4l NA engine in the Z4 GT3 and GTLM may be the best sounding engine of all time. Even as a Vette fanboy, I will still give the Germans credit for making such beautiful noise.
My headphones can’t even keep up with it. Magical. I have been to the 6 hours at the glen the last two years. Between the GTLM Vettes and the Porsches your ear drums are pretty much useless afterwards.
