Does it baby? Specifically, can you fit a rear facing car seat behind the drivers seat with our crushing your legs? The v60 and VW golf wagon seem too small to have the rear facing behind the driver. My ATS is won’t hold it behind the drivers seat. Something I will have to consider very soon. May seem trivial, but

I would have preferred to see less privileged kids or children from make a wish or Saint Judes types of organizations. These karters and Junior formula drivers are already going to be fans, and rich, and white (as others have pointed out) so putting them on the grid does nothing to grow the audience. Get children and

I dig it too! But so many angry people in this thread! We want wagons right? THEY GAVE US A WAGON. People looking the gift horse in the mouth! Same goes for Caddy. People cry out for engaging RWD cars that are fun to drive. Caddy delivers exactly what people ask for, then no one buys them. Madness I tell you!

Well said. I would like to see the trap speeds to compare the Fords, Vette’s, Ferrari’s, ETC. BMW will catch up now that they have 24 hours worth of data to pour over. I think the article makes a good point where the Ford is just better balanced. It punches a really small hole in the air while being light on all 4

Very cool write up Stef! One more that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Ah, the old “compound” set up! That would make sense.

What is the benefit of doing twins with a straight 6? 2 smaller turbos that will be more responsive and spool up faster? I thought a V alignment always used twins to account for the exhaust ports on either side of the engine. Being a straight 6, is there a need for twins outside of a good press write up?

I never thought about that expect of it. I have always still carried the mind set that everyone will still want their own car. Ah, its funny how it always comes back to the all-mighty dollar. They have shareholders to please, so I don’t blame them. Very good points made.

Its all in an effort to be different. All these Liberty Walk kits are about looking extreme instead of going faster. Now, I will admit that I find the LB kitted Maserati Gran Turismo to be a nice ride. For some reason, this type of kit seems to work well with it. This piece however, I am not a fan of. It ruins the

Now I have seen one of these at an open drift event at Pittsburgh I’ntl/BeaveRun/Pitt Race a few years back. Guy had a bigger turbo strapped to it and was just out there having a ball smoking some rear tires as best he could. Was cool to see something different than a zip tied 240 and other JDM favorites. $9700, you

Females make up 10% of the F1 audience according to their own most recent survey. Lets equate that to 10% of the revenue with the way things are. I think it was 14000 women responded to the survey. I am certain that if someone could guarantee that number would jump to 50000 they would ban grid girls overnight. Money

Semi Related - I believe Senna and McLaren tested a Lamborghini engine about a year after the Indycar test. According to the article, Mika Hakkinen tested the same unliveried test car at Silverstone and was over a second faster. For some reason, Ron Dennis still said no. I have not read why they decided against a

First Gear - I hear all this talk of companies saying they need X fully electric models by 2023 or 2025. Will the demand be there? Is there market research that shows that there is demand for enough fully electric vehicles to make the production run profitable? With all of the recent articles on material shortages,

I wish I could understand. I can’t wrap my head around that when a male or female attends an event as big as an F1 race, the thought process goes past the machinery and spectacle and goes right to “Ya know, this is a little backwards and I think we should change it”. It’s not that the old way is the right way or that

I wonder if NYC and the surrounding Boroughs will want to kick out Target and other entities that also had a tremendous data breach? Or did Target donate to the right peoples campaigns?

These tracks down under are wild. That track is barely wide enough for karts or street stocks let alone sprints. When the track slicks over and gets wide like that? So hard to pass.

Yep! It punched a smaller hole in the air as well. I want to say one of Bill Elliott’s Coors Thunderbirds from the late 80's was chopped down the middle length wise to make it a few inches narrower, back when he was dominating the super speedway races. I can’t find an article though, so maybe I am a liar.

Nearly half a billion dollars to run two cars! That was the last year before the expensive Hybrid cars appeared. I bet they are well into the $500 million range by now.
