The short answer is you have no idea what you're talking about.

Mojang has done a good job of controlling the language around this topic, couching it entirely in terms of "play to win" and the like. News outlets seem to be mostly parroting this language, and then the majority of commenters are of course chiming in with words of support for Mojang's actions.

Maybe. Another clue might be the fact that the character has a bow only (zelda's weapon of choice) and doesn't even appear to carry a sword at all. On the other hand it also kinda looks like it could be a throwback to the starting outfit in wind waker.

Isn't every Zelda open-world?

You obviously did not understand (or read?) the article at all. It is not whining, it is a *warning* to other developers that the landscape has changed and it's going to be much more difficult to succeed in the future. If there are way way more games coming out than anyone can reasonably play, then it doesn't matter

Mark of the Ninja is not Indie.

I'd highly recommend you read the full post by Vogel if you have the chance. It's pretty interesting and covers a lot of territory, but at no point does he argue that anyone has a right to exist in their current state. The big takeaway is that it's going to be harder for everyone to earn a right to exist, and in the

If the market for games becomes like the market for poetry, then yeah that's a problem. Almost nobody makes any money off of poetry - what little money there is goes to just a handful of people who take *all* the money. This isn't an issue of getting rich vs not getting rich. This is an issue of whether or not people

Is this some kind of meta-humor performance Art piece? Olin is clearly a genius and the Turtle Rock people are chumps who played into his hand. There is no other possible explanation. I refuse to believe that he didn't *expect* to get fired for his tweet, given his clear understanding of the way media frenzies form.

Yeah 20-25 hours straight of any activity is probably not a great idea because sleep and food.

I dunno, man. The underlying premise of this guy's article really seems to be that video games, and maybe games in general, are inherently terrible. Dark Souls is the Worst Game Ever Made because it's so *good* at being a game, and if you believe that gaming itself is a blight upon human existence, then the best game

Ok glad to hear this is what other people think, too. I thought I was going crazy.

Here's a more accurate model of the Kestrel:

I think there's a LOT of luck involved no matter how good you are at the game, regardless of difficulty settings. Also I think until you've played the game a bunch of times, it's hard to make intelligent decisions about which weapons to buy/sell/etc, because you don't really know how they work until you've used them.

It's just a different type of mechanic to manage. It hardly seems as though this game is going for realism.

Game developers don't just sit in front of their computers drawing doodles and typing out code—we create fun out of thin air. We take hundreds of hours of discussions, refinements, and debates, and we make them appear on screen. Game developers make art.

It would be an even DEEPER and amazing work of ART if he not only made a game that almost no one could play, but also didn't tell anyone about it.

Such an amazing series of games. You really have to be willing to invest yourself in the game's mythology to fully enjoy it, though. There is a TON of text, but the storytelling is brilliant and completely unique once you get into it.

Ick.

The letter "D" in the Deliverance logo says 1401 in it, so there's that.
