I think this is good advice unless you are like me and have one browser window open at all times just for news feeds and other articles. I have Google reader open 24/7 and as a web blogger I am always looking for news so I will often have up to 60 or 70 tabs open at a time.

I agree with the speed problem but a while back cnet featured kingsoft office which I downloaded and it is super fast to start and do pretty much anything. It also has an amazing tabbed interface that I learned to love.
