I'll be there if they do..

Awesome, sweaty, fast

Natural talent only goes so far, the rest is work - or determination or whatever it takes to obsess consistently about the art of flinging a car faster round a patch of tarmac than other humans. I don't like preachers of fate, i think if you want to make something work you can overcome most obstacles. Unfortunately

Had a great time on Skyfall and all the crazy stuff in that movie was done by the 'real' stunt men! They jump off bridges, fight like they're trying to kill each other and never lose their smile.

All three wrapped in a single car. The most adrenaline i ever tasted was thanks to the Koenigsegg CCX.. It had huge power but hardly any downforce and the suspension settings were those of a madman. To say it was unstable would be unfair to unstable cars - it was all hands on deck. It lurched sideways, then you had to

I always drove them - with the exception of the Benetton F1 lap and that was a dark day! Felt so jealous i was nearly sick, but thanks to Red Bull i eventually had a ride in a modern F1 car and it lived up to what i expected.

They got 45 minutes each - then we timed them. I gave them the basics - how to hold the wheel, to stamp the brake pedal like a cockroach in your kitchen and to wait for the power and look further ahead than usual. Plus the geography of the track of course!

That Toyota is a gem - if it had more power it would have to cost more too! I had tons of fun with it in Poland and was drifting everywhere on Poznan circuit. I'd love it to have more power YES - but i think its a fairly cheap upgrade, stick a Turbo on and rock on

not everybody is a massively naturally talented driver and it's hard to manage someone's expectations if they believe that they are! But it wasn't hard - i take every individual as i find them, work on their weaknesses and use their strengths to see the best possible result. And people are always capable of pulling

yes i did and we had a lot of fun with things like that, especially in London. I'm glad we didn't use stand ins because it would have felt fake

In truth - not every shot of a hot lap was necessarily the fastest. We didn't have ten cameras filming every lap, so some of my early footage would always be more raw and as you say 'over the limit' because i only had 5 or 6 laps to find the limit before the tyres were history. The smoother balletic shots would be

The best advice for Stig 3 is probably all on Wikipedia! I hope he enjoys the ride and that the BBC treats him well

The Ferrari 458 Italia is the perfect car in every way bar the price tag. Mid engined, its perfectly balanced - you could drift the car sideways and balance an egg on the throttle pedal because its just so responsive and forgiving. You feel everything but the car isnt too stiff, so it moves with you - you feel the

I saw most of the team out in Istanbul when Top Gear shot the behind the scenes of Skyfall - nobody threw rocks, although the TG mob were heavily outnumbered and trust me you should never start a fight in a bar full of stunt men.. Too many black belts and those boys seem to enjoy pain..

At that track the Porsche Carrera GT - the first and only car to bite me three times in the same corner and make me feel like a novice. Spun out thrice at the Hammerhead as the V10 just exploded with power over the bumps - it was love at first sight. Once you survive the first lap and work it out.. just so much fun

That engine's too heavy for the Vantage - the DBS was the perfect package
