I no nothing about watches, though I do remember my old roommate was nearly obsessed with the Hublot BigBang series.

A team from one of the four major sports from the second largest media market in the country is perhaps seconds away from going to the championship round of said sport for only the second time in their 45 year history as a Cinderella eight seed...and as far as I can see, there is exactly ZERO buzz about this.
That's freaking awesome. I was afraid it'd be a little two stylish, but it's like the 20's on steroids, which, really is what the novel was in the first place. I gotta be honest, when I saw the Yellow Rolls speeding thru the street, I got a little half-chub.
Chopper DUAN!
So Robin Gibb died. I, like most people, know them really only for their disco music, but they'd been a charting band for over a decade by the time Saturday Night Fever came out. I don't know. I'm not like sad about it or anything, but you don't get to be one of the most successful acts in music history — they at one…
Yep
I'm watching Royals/DBacks, so I'm right in line with that theme.
You're right. Ton of inside baseball, but I enjoyed the hell outta that.
Man that sucks. I was never a cat guy either until I found my little buddy Tommy out by the dumpster about 9 mos ago. He was less than two pounds when I found him, and my apartment is not exactly pet friendly, so he's strictly an inside cat. I can't imagine if he went missing somehow. Best of luck to you. Hope you…
That's awesome. I'll have to check it out. Seems that it works off many of the same themes as The Recognitions by William Gaddis, a book which I've always wanted to read but haven't as yet found the nine months necessary to tackle it. I digress.
You meant to play this video, right? Because Pet Sounds turns 45 today.

Probably not at all the discussion you hoped to spark, but goddamn do I love a good soccer call #DONOVANGOL!!
I honestly don't know a single person who has seen and doesn't absolutely love Mr. Show. Love that sketch. This one might not be as haha funny, but I've always thought the concept and execution are brilliant.
Whelp, nevermind.
At least he was only singing it. When Eddie Griffin played for the T-Wolves, "Hit the road, jack" was a way of life.
Duck Dunn played with everyone, from Elvis to Clapton. He was also the house bassist at Stax Records in the 60's, appearing on some of the best R&B recordings ever. Oh yeah, and he was a member of Otis Redding's band at Monterrey Pop. One of the greats. RIP.
"Filly Cheesecake" is still in better taste than Rolling Stones' headline for their Tom Gabel cover story: "Gelding Waffles."
Yeah I watched that one yesterday. Good to see that there are people out there who are just as obsessed with the BBoys as myself
Late to the party, but Jay-Z + Kraftwerk should equal something infinitely cooler than this. I know it was more a victim of the PuffDaddy&TheFamily-esque Hype Williams style prevalent at the time, and it was early in J's career, but, shit, everything about this is terrible. Well, except for Foxy Brown, that is.
