The beauty of this strike is that Uber and Lyft pricing is entirely market driven. The best way to make more money is to drive while all the other drivers strike.

I would guess that he got a 4-10M windfall, bought a house, this car, but didn’t have much left after that. His cash flow is probably more modest (<$150K) and he won’t pay for repairs and maintenance b/c he doesn’t want his bank balance to take the hits. This sort of thing is common in startup culture.
