You know you’ve got options, right ... and I’d still take a Matrix over a cab or public transit.
All those things can be true, and he can still be a bad driver. Happens all the time.

Exactly. Gawker has this raging-hate boner for Uber that now reeks of desperation and erodes their credibility. “10 Easy Tricks to Destroy Uber.”
Nah, I get it. A modern GT3 is an objectively excellent car and not a bad value at MSRP. I never dug old Air Cooled 911’s, and when I drove them in-period, always thought they were terrible. Not just trying to be ‘that guy’, I remember driving a 993 C2S back to back with an NSX in like 1995 and thinking that the 993…
The beauty of this strike is that Uber and Lyft pricing is entirely market driven. The best way to make more money is to drive while all the other drivers strike.
Ordering an Uber right now. No abnormal wait times. I need to get around, and there is no public transit here. It’s a free market.
As a Porsche frequent owner and booster, the 718 is meh and the A110 is yeah. Give credit where it’s due.
Nah man. There was nothing accurate about ‘the culture’ in FF1. They are widely credited with ruining the culture, making it all about neon, lame graphics, wings and NOS! Pre-FF1 was gearheads, post FF1 was lame sauce. FF killed the scene.
OK, big shot who only does the most adult things, yet likes to belittle people anonymously on the internet. Unfortunately for you, the law disagrees.
Exactly! I have not seen a single motorist who followed the rules of the road. NOT a single one! Everyone drives 10 mph over the speed limit and rolls right through stop signs.
Show me the saintly driver who obeys all traffic rules, and I will show you the saintly cyclist who obeys all traffic rules.
..... and the best Kolaches are at the Czech stop in West, TX. (checks map) ... That’s not in the midwest. Chicago is much more about Pierogis.
.... so what you’re saying is that the Subaru is unrefined. I had a 2005 STi and a 2017 Audi S3. The quality gap between an RS3 and STI is massive, and the RS3 still seems too expensive for what is effectively a fast Golf R. The S209 is waaaaay too much for what it is, and STI’s haven’t been interesting in 10 years.…
Meanwhile Der Rabbi struggles to afford commas.
Some people have such weird ideas of what wealth is and love these sorts of ‘exclusivity’ narratives. Who buys granite coffee tables? Ferrari dealers are dicks, but they will take anyone’s money. They will try to upsell you on tons of useless features to increase MSRP by 50%, and they will try to force you to buy…
I would guess that he got a 4-10M windfall, bought a house, this car, but didn’t have much left after that. His cash flow is probably more modest (<$150K) and he won’t pay for repairs and maintenance b/c he doesn’t want his bank balance to take the hits. This sort of thing is common in startup culture. Boom or bust.…
Rich people don’t have errands, soccer practice and school? WTF do you think a rich person is?
That price is haggling with my brain guts.
