Ecclestone and the Daily Mail? Not happening.
Ecclestone and the Daily Mail? Not happening.
It exudes tastelessness to me. It's too aggressive, flashy, and ugly to be a proper luxury saloon.
Makes sense, I didn't realise it wasn't on sale yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.
Golf R?
Lamborghini Gallardo and Audi R8
Fair enough, I had no idea Honda was doing so badly over there.
Won't they? It won't sell in massive numbers, but it'll sell. The old Type R is still a fairly popular car around here, for what it is. I see about 5 for every Megane RS 265.
But you still see large saloons like the Charger, Impala, 300, and Taurus quite often, too. I've lived there, I know. Perhaps it's different where you're from.
That was, er, very American, and very, very conservative. Rich white man being portrayed as a role model, claiming that other nations are lazy and won't get as far as him, his white family with one son and one daughter, a nice big house, and a $75,000 Cadillac pug in hybrid. One of these things is not like the other.
I really like it. But Honda hates America, so they won't sell it here. Either that, or they learned from the last hot Civic that they sold here, which barely anybody bought. But hey, there were reasons for that.
I've lived in the US, and I consider it average. It's a car you won't look twice at. And you say they sell very few, but in 2013 they sold over 98,000. That's a lot of cars.
Indeed. Petrol saloons make up about 10 % of the market. Diesel 4 cylinder estates are about 40 %.
Yeah, our standards are completely different from those in America. A Dodge Charger is pretty average in America, but here it's just ridiculously huge and tacky.
You want to sell Cadillacs in Europe? Offer at least 2 really good diesel engines with manual and automatic gearboxes. I'm not saying you should, I'm saying you must if you want to sell any substantial number of cars. That segment is dominated by diesels. The other issue is that we Europeans prefer something that…
What a lovely woman. This sort of thing absolutely needs to be done on a case to case basis. It's a human thing, you know?
Light beer? You're doing it wrong.
Fly? The Camaro's so heavy the death star tractor beam could barely lift it.
That is one of the cleanest cars I've ever seen.
Nope.
Better a car than an iPad.
