True story. My freshman roommate in college did a charity spring break trip helping out Hurricane Katrina victims. One of his co-do-gooders wrote Oprah about it and was invited to the show along with a few friends. She bumped into my roommate and asked if he wanted to go, and he of course said yes.
It's also sad that in the second most populous county in the U.S. (Cook, IL), one that has more than 5 million people, only 1.25 million people voted (according to Politico's counts).
I'm so so disappointed in most of Illinois. :-(
