Yeah, I have no issue with a kid that wants to be a doctor like their parents or grandparent. I have an issue with

Don’t do it on the cheap, donate enough money for a building and nobody will give a shit if your kids go there.

Exxxxxxactly. As if her daughter is so much wiser than other kids who are motivated by money because, you know, they like to eat and have a roof over their head and stuff.

“Seems fairly level-headed and reality-based”

Still, even though she’s feeling a bit overloaded getting her kids into college”

It’s easy to be level-headed and reality-based when you’ve got a jade egg stowed in your cooch.

It’s probably a lot easier to not be motivated by money when you’ve never had to worry about it for one second of your life.

I mean, I didn’t need to know any of this, but everything she said sounds... fine? Seems fairly level-headed and reality-based, which at this point is honestly just kind of refreshing.

My first character was a Gith warlock and I never regretted that choice even for a second.

arent we missing digital sales as is?  Which is the majority of sales now, and for pc like all them now.

Man TLOU2 was so good. I know its divisive even amongst those who arent caught up in the “they killed joel” or lgbtq hate, but that story stuck with me.  I mentally recoiled in the start of the second half.  You want me to play with who?  But jeez...how her journey mirrored joels, but less selfish....fuck me that game

No one said it did, we’ve known practically since launch that it sold really well. There was obviously a huge amount of people condemning buying it, but considering how few of those people remained Harry Potter fans by then I’m not even sure there was an active “let’s boycott” movement considering they’d have not

If the story didn’t center on a white man’s fee-fees, Scorsese would never make it. Doubt he ever would have heard about it in the first place. It just not his thing. And I’m fine with him staying in his lane. Turns out this time it helps shine a light on a part of American heritage that nearly got completely buried.

“Didn’t read. Everyone offended. Talking hurt feelings. Me cry.”

Yeah thats definitly not it. Maybe 1% of the playerbase actually mods games. The majority are on console where mods just dont exist...except for starfield which is getting mod support in 2024...

Or, maybe, people can discuss a movie critically and it can still be a good movie? And it’s good that the filmmakers tried to appease multiple relevant groups, who can and should express their complex feelings on the subject?

It seems like the production team working closely with the Osage was very appreciated, though. Of course the Osage would have complicated feelings, it’s a movie about an extensive scheme to murder Osage rights-holders for their money and property.

I completely agree with Christopher Cote’s statement. I am a white woman who saw an advanced screening last night and came out of the film feeling like it had completely missed the mark by not taking the opportunity to center around Molly’s and her family’s experience — especially considering the transcendent level of
