It looks gorgeous and I like the cast and director, but I still don’t really see a reason to...care? Not a knock at Kirby, but these trailers don’t really tell me why I should root for or be attached to these guys. Deviants feel generic too.

Fun fact: the thick coat that Jon Snow wore in the north is also a rug from Ikea.

None of these trailers have hit a tone that feels right to me, and in particular I am SO EFFING TIRED of the trope of ending a purportedly epic trailer with a joke that’s supposed to be funny but just comes off as awkward. It’s like the editorial version of a Wilhelm scream.

Starting to look a bit too much like DC movies. Hopefully the actual movie doesn’t suck like DC movies.

It’s just us editors and writers so it’s hard with a small staff, but we’re always looking out for anything that’s inappropriate!

Waiting for the moderators to ban and cull the insane sexism in these comments.

The only thing that needs to be burned down is toxic gamer culture.

Once she finds out he’s alive he becomes a liability. Sure she could have just had them kill him, but might as well get some use out of him before that needs to happen.

Honestly to me it feels more like character growth than anything.

I agree with that, entirely. From the fact that he risked the mission to recover Harley to him fighting back against destroying the hard drive, it was clear he was becoming a liability to Waller’s objectives. That alone makes sense for why she’d put him on the expendable team. We didn't need the funny, petty

Er… the Harley Quinn show isn’t cancelled. They’re working on season 3 right now.

Harley hasn’t been a straight supervillain for almost a decade now.

I don’t think the first movie did do that really, they actually put a lot of effort into making sure they were referring to the *next* Superman.

I neither read the article nor the comments because I’ve been drinking.
That being said, I’d kill to see Bizzaro Superman played by Bautista in a The Suicide Squad 2.

It is kind of that Superman is untrustworthy, as he’s susceptible to things like mind control and red kryptonite.

Honestly, they could’ve just left out Bloodsport’s father/daughter storyline and I would’ve been fine with it. The scene in Belle Reve was funny and touching, but it’s not really developed other than to establish why he acts fatherly towards Ratcatcher 2. And as a retread of the father/daughter dynamic from the first

Starro the Conqueror is a superior pick than yet another evil Superman. Even good Superman is overexposed.

People have been thinking about it for far longer than that…

I tried to avoid spoilers by not reading articles about the movie until I watched it, but because of how social media algorithms work, things just pop up without you expecting it. If I saw anything remotely resembling a reaction to the movie, I would quickly swipe away, but even then, sometimes I caught a glimpse.

To be fair, Waller always wanted him dead or controlled and I think Gunn would have come up with something far more interesting.
