Shiv’s smart and capable, and that’s the tragedy of her character. Growing up the smartest kid and getting nepo baby castoffs has made her indignant and brutal.

A couple notes.

6'6" with giant ears and androgynous features is canon. Cate Blanchett in a long dress with forced perspective against Hobbits is a pretty good facsimile, but not using that forced perspective to have Liv Tyler tower over Aragorn in every scene is a disappointment.

Especially weird because the new face model just looks like a background doll face they had in stock files. There’s no character or detail to it at all.

According to every Lindelof interview ever (and confirmed by Abrams), JJ Abrams had nothing to do with Lost and refused to help write the show. Lindelof didn’t even realize he’d be the showrunner until he was hired and JJ bailed on him and just told him to create a writer’s room, find a veteran, and it’ll run itself.

Roman saw the company as a symbol of his father’s love and legacy, which is why he hated Matsson so much and was willing to burn him on the deal. Shiv is actually pretty brilliant. She’s a talented political operator that manages to earn the respect of her contemporaries. I’m still baffled that a movie where two characters say, “Kill the Past” and then proceed to screw everything up by trying to kill the past convinced people that the movie was trying to kill the past.

Cameron’s movies are time-crossed love stories, both family and romantic, where the woman who will raise a child destined to lead humanity out of darkness is helped by father figures who repeatedly sacrifice themselves to stop implacable villains, with her motherhood along the way inspiring that child to prevent the…

Why not just deal with the fact that Skynet never happened and make a movie/series about all of the douchebags trying to make another version of Skynet happen and how it reflects both the lack of caution and the lack of imagination of billionaires throwing the same dumb, self-destructive ideas at the wall to see which…

Go absolutely batshit and do a Terminator movie set in the future and have it be an all-out balls-to-the-wall battle with Skynet with “Saving Private Ryan meets anime” production designs.

Considering they’ve been race-bending Samwise Gamgee into a white dude in every iteration, everything’s fair game at this point. (For those confused, Samwise’s skin color is described as brown in every canon description of him.)
