I mean, the moment the first trailer opened with Bruce Wayne saying ‘if you’re hearing this message, then I’m dead’ it was screamingly obvious that he wasn’t dead

This is not much different from the Joker twist in Arkham Knight. “He’s dead, but he isn’t, but he really is.” It wasn’t even the only “they’re dead” twist in that game.
I would have been surprised if Batman really did remain dead for this game.
Sort of unrelated, but Graham Norton is one of the best talk show hosts on TV, period, and it’s nice to see him get some coverage here... even if it is about his interaction with Weinstein.
spoken like a person who’s never had to work a food service job.
They’ll fly off the shelves because they’ll likely be great games with great writing, that may release flawed (like most video games these days) but will receive years of after care. Just like TW1-3 and CP77.
A lot of folks just want Bloodborne to be playable at 60 fps; given that it’s a fast paced action game, that would make a noticeable difference. If that came in the form of a patch I think plenty of people would be happy.
The first game has sold 20m+ copies and IIRC was Sony’s best performing new IP of the entire PS4 generation.
The Horizon series must be selling really well. I just finished Zero Dawn’s main game on PC, and it was great. I’ll be going back for the Frozen Wilds expansion at some point.
You have to hide from him in arasaka tower when doing the big prologue mission, you fight him as Johnny (and lose) in those flashbacks, and then finally the fight near the end. He’s pretty well signalled as someone you’re going to have to deal with throughout.
He was in the first flashback with Johnny that you do right at the end of the proper “intro”. He was still mostly human and not quite as borged out yet, I think you see him in several Johnny flashbacks and you get to see his steady push towards more chrome and less organic.
He’s in some of Silverhand’s flashbacks and one of Rogue’s quests delves more into his backstory.
Lmao you don’t even know what you’re playing if you think the “vanilla,” version doesn’t already have a heavy dose of anime in its DNA. You think those motorcycles and katana came from…western influences?
Final season aka the Goliath Chronicles had a significant number of the production staff, including the creator, leave the production. The creator said he considers it non-canon.
A weird bit about the game is that it totally ignored the existence of the rest of the Manhattan clan.
I rented this from blockbuster as a small child and remember being almost instantly stuck due to the controls and there being no explanation outside of the manual, which of course wasn’t included in the rental.
Think I’ve teared up three times reading this site: Mike’s struggle with gaming addiction, Mike’s story about being in a coma, and today reading this tribute.
Thank you—and thanks Mike, rest well, you made a lot of people happy. Truly Fahey was the best of us.

This just in! Once again Kotaku nitpicks a game everybody seems to love!
There is a 92% chance that Batman comes back in the final act, and, barring that, a 100% chance of him returning in the first DLC.
