If it isn’t written it isn’t cannon simple as that. Hinted a lot but I was more angry they are using someone else’s work and not showing the great writing these writers are doing or talking about. If it actually exists that is.

Right my point though is they should use the work the creators themselves used. Also it isn’t fully canon in B:TAS Harley isn’t fully bi but Ivy is gay. Back then it was more of Ivy dug Harley but it wasn’t a full on relationship because Harley was a ditz and was too obsessed with Mr. J. I’m more angry they used…
Use the comic then not those series like they did in the article though, that was my point. ;)
I’ve noticed they’ve focused on marketing on relationships than well written stories too. Some comics have gone down hill in story telling trying to get readers on board for other weird things too. I’d rather have a better story and writing. A lot of it feels weak. Put harley and Ivy in a comic and have them fall…
Way to twist it. I said it’s fine but my problem was that they were using OTHER creators work and another universe and saying it’s cannon for all of them. That isn’t true. Stick your agenda elsewhere I’m fine with them being together. I also was making a point about straight too.
yeah shipping has always existed but not every relationship has to be “sexual” or “romantic” and not only males think this way, way to generalize and put a gender to a way of thinking.
Harley gets a free pass at sexing up people in the new 52 and everyone got so upset when Catwoman sexed up Batman and it was super well done. (It was a T+ book so it wasn’t meant for kids.) So yeah, I’ve noticed Harley got a free pass, and I haven’t been a fan of some of her comics because it felt too fan serviced and…
Or they need to get their comic to sell more.
More like Fan Service in some departments but yes there is plenty of that too, but there ALWAYS has been in the last 20 years.
Kate Kane has had some shitty luck in relationships.
I’m more of a Catwoman fan myself.
Okay. I don’t agree with you that it is wrong, I think love shouldn’t have a definition and any form of love is sacred. BUT.... Is comics encouraging the behavior when the two that are bi/gay are primarily villains? lol
That’s what they should have used then.
I know Paul hinted at it just before the reboot in the comics but never was it fully like “This is canon” in the show. They hinted sure but cannon? no. I’m more made that they didn’t use the people who were calling it canon’s work. Not every universe is the same either. In The universe before the reboot Dini had Ivy…
I know what you mean friend.
True that was Dini’s own work, but it wasn’t in the Bruce Timm universe. I never said it wasn’t hinted I did say no one made it canon. Ivy’s always been a lesbian in my book or just a huge feminist that she was not into men at all lol. I also don’t like this is CANON because I said so. WRITE IT IN THE STORY. :)
Uh.. now you are trying to make it stupid. I meant that we don’t have to ship every damn relationship. Write it in the story don’t call it “canon”. I also was mad like I said that they were using images from OTHER creators and saying it was canon too. I never said there was anything wrong with lesbian relationships.…
Catwoman got shamed for having sex with Batman in hers, and it was really well done. Harley does the same stuff? It’s okay.. Free pass.
Using shots of Bruce Timm’s universe and saying it’s canon for all is not working for me. Especially given New 52 isn’t anything of the old universe 5 years ago... That’s how canon works in comics.
Which all they would have to do is have Bruce Timm and Paul Dini say so... But I’m also more of a if it isn’t actually written into the universe you can’t say it is afterwards, make a new story and make it so if you want. Like Dumbledore being gay, I mean you can take that he was gay in book 7 or you can think they…
