@TheNewSun: I loved Lost Girls, but I find it's a very polarizing work. A lot of my friends really loathed either the writing or the art.

His work is hit or miss with me, but this is pretty riveting.

I have no problem with the existing staff going, as the characterization and dialogue has been flat.

@Dresan: Yes, it was almost an exact parallel. Though Desmond was a cooler character than this guy.

@GayRobotsRUS: Thank you. Teenagers aren't interesting to me. I have never understood why I'm supposed to care about their overwrought drama.

This episode reminded me of Lost, in the way that toward the end, the show was so busy with so many characters that you rarely got to spend time with your favorites. But at least Lost did flashbacks early in the show so we knew who the characters were and how it related to their island life.

@baldly_going: Only if you count the vibrator talk during laundry. other than that - no.

@jblues: I swear my oldest cat can meow yes and no and an irritated/melancholy sound that means "how the hell should I know, just fix it." Converse intelligently with a cat for a long period of time and their ability to respond is amazing.

@phoghat: I already have hearing problems (discerning words in crowded bars and restaurants) due no doubt to too many shows and constant headphone use. I know people even younger than me who do too, so I've convinced myself researchers have anticipated this and are busy working on a cure.

I shall watch The Wicker Man in her honor this weekend.

My favorite episode so far. Darryl is becoming one of my favorite characters - at least he's interesting to watch unlike most of them.

It pretty much failed for me as an episode. Perhaps because the credits raised my hopes so much with a solid X Files takeoff that then just... faded. "Dean? Did you service Oberon, king of the fairies?" was pretty funny but on whole, the comic timing this season (which was always so on point before) seems off to me.

How come a massive animal like that has urine that smells like basmati rice while my small housecat could scorch your nostrils with his whizz? He's like a bioterrorist in his litter box.

I've never connected to Wonder Woman (other than in New Frontier) because she's lacked complexity for me. Do-gooders make for boring characters without an inner twist or conflict. Maybe I just don't know her story well enough.

@tattooedjunecleaver: I'm trying to get my niece to give this a shot, since it's right up her alley, but she's suspicious of anything older than she is. It's frustrating. I was always attracted to TV shows that pre-dated me (Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, Batman, Avengers) and I just don't get the "eww, 90's" attitude.

I own all of the Diana Rigg seasons but none of the other episodes. Are they worth checking out? To me, Emma Peel is the whole point of the Avengers - Steed and other women just don't interest me.

@punisher1135: Which is ridiculous, because why would women know more about washing clothes by hand than men? We've all grown up with washing machines.

It was nice to see the women get a scene to themselves. The show seemed to be making some gender statements tonight, especially in the zombie-killing scene (where the men really seemed to kill it with relish and the women recoiled) and the laundry scene. I'm guessing the show will explore those conflicts more than

Bats are brilliant. I imagine they do something similiar with smell, when it comes to a mother bat locating her pup in a cave of thousands.
