Ok. We had this one player who chose to play Paladin, which would be quite normal, except he did a number of things such as: Steal from NPCs, kill non-evil NPCs who he found bothersome, shoplift from EVERYONE and EVERYTHING, betray fellow players to the bad guy of the campaign for money... We constantly reminded him

Question: Isn’t this actually bad for the business? Unless the stores are unique enough to complement each other, wouldn’t they be cannibalizing themselves? I can see, for example, a dedicated retro store right next to a modern store, and maybe one that does repairs and mobile stuff, perhaps one more that focuses more

I figured the pervs would be a thing, but I think servers coming in unannounced to check on everything every now and then would be somewhat of a deterrent, which of course, depends on the kind of perv to begin with.

Quick question to all commenters: Say that I open a restaurant, and while food is of course the main priority, I also set it up so every table is in a private booth with reasonable soundproofing, costs be damned. Good idea? Bad idea? Why?

All I really want is my goddamn dual pistols already! I love the new games, enjoy the story, relish the exploration... BUT DAMN IT, I NEED DUAL HANDGUNS!!! LIKE... NOW!!!!

Costarrican native here! “Hard” is a relative term. If you have financial support (i.e. a job, or a pension, or enough assets to start a local business), and no serious police record, you sure can get it. You do need patience, because our bureaucracy is the stuff of legends.

Will do! Enjoy it. Just in case, he also says often that he “hates the hoolawahoola out of these nutters” if you’re interested.

Well, 90's me would definitely have been excited at this idea. And horrified at the Tide pods stuff, but that’s another theme.

I think explaining this to someone born in the 50's would have more of the effect you’re looking for. I once tried to explain Twitch to my grandparents. Grandma was all like “But aren’t your friends sitting right there with you watching you play?” while grandpa was all like “This shit is for vagrants” followed by

We’re talking about the man who thought imposing tariffs on Mexican imports (which are paid by U.S. Citizens who buy the products) would be how he’d “get Mexico to pay for the wall”. Drug traffic into the United States would have no purpose without so many people there demanding the drugs in the first place.

Meh. Blasphemy.

While I respect any parent’s right to choose the name for their kids, I find it tremendously selfish and thoughtless to do something like this. This is the kind of name choice fuels bullies, pranksters and generally mean people to make daily life hell for a child. The poor kid will pay the social price of his father’s

I think I get you a little better now. Let’s see if I do. The game is MEANT to be depressing. It sends a powerful message about what depression and manipulation does to you, and Monika’s tampering “with the software” is a tremendous analog to what anonymous social media bullying can do to people. Driving them to

I would agree with you if people who make mods were forcing it up people’s asses and hiding the original. They aren’t. What they do amounts to fan fiction. The original, unaltered game is there for anyone to play. Freedom of expression can do that. You don’t have to agree with the content of the mods, and I can see

How is this “ruining” anything? Mods are an optional thing. If you like the game exactly as it is, no one is putting a gun on your back to install a mod and change your experience.

Question: Has anyone made any mods that make the game even more disturbing?

With me, it started with bundles. One or two games I wanted came along with several others I didn’t want.

I guess the idea is to take the “Metroidvania” monicker to its literal extreme, which was not a bad idea, but finishing it with a “depressed woman eats chocolate” cliché is what kinda ruined it for me. Also, I checked, and SOTN does not feature chocolate drops so it’s not even an obscure reference.

I put my butter in the microwave for 12 seconds. It becomes soft enough to spread. It does melt a bit, but I personally don’t care.

When I built my first PC, it did turn on the first time. Then went dead. It ended up being the motherboard. I got it exchanged at Amazon, and ever since then, the machine has worked like a charm. So don’t give up, these things happen! Just make sure your parts come from sources that will accept returns (except, you
