I’m so confused. All the headlines this morning (in the UK media at least) are about Taylor, but it took me til halfway through one report somewhere to find out that Kendrick Lamar won the most awards last night, as well as beating the record for most nominations for a rap artist at the Grammys. It was his night!

A lot of that music came from a good source: his musician father!

Ghost won best metal performance so it wasn’t a total wash. Seriously that song and their whole album is incredible. Also as someone who loathes the current state of country music Chris Stapleton’s album was a breath of fresh air.

It was epic, but I’m mad at whoever censored him. Just out of principle. His performance and that 12 year old piano kid were the best parts by far.

This is legit how I’m feeling right now.

Also? In case Mr. President anyone is wondering: I have a legal background, I look great in black AND I already own a lace collar. I also like to bang on things with a wooden hammer.

A Supreme Court justice, ideally, is not a Democrat or a Republican but rather someone who can impartially evaluate complicated legal issues irrespective of politics.

I gently rib him when he flubs an attempt to put a ball through a hole: “You’re supposed to get it in the hole,” I say. Later, when I miss, he throws the joke back at me, adding, “Is that what your boyfriend says?” I tell him it wouldn’t make sense for my boyfriend to say that.

He says this with such gravity that I burst out laughing. Bieber does not.
