Even here in Los Angeles I never leave the curb until I see my friends in their car or house. Not only for safety and security, but to make sure they didn’t forget their keys in my car. Luckily, wandering around on even some of the coldest nights of the year won’t kill you... at least not that quickly.
Yup, and when dropping someone off, you watch them get in their house. A number of people have died because they were dropped off without keys.
