Omg and the part where he tells Jenny that Forrest is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, it's too much for my heart. I've seen it a billion times and it still gets me every. single. time.

Yeah, that's the part that got people — the plausible science of the moment. Wasn't they cared about the character, wasn't that they empathized with his quest to avenge his sister and her children, wasn't the merciless death. Their only thought was, "Yep, that could totally happen."
YES! It slays me. The other part that makes me blubber like an idiot is when he asks Jenny if little Forrest is smart. :(
I expect we'll see a lot more of him in the future.
I literally cannot watch Forrest read that letter to Jenny's grave without turning into a sobbing mess.
My fiance wanted to watch the episode again last night, because we'd been reading re-caps and reviews and he wanted to see things we might have missed the first time around. I reluctantly agreed, then right when Oberyn gets knocked down I started yelling "NO! STOP! THE END! THE END!" and ran out of the room.
The Viper was one of those characters that I didn't initially love as a book reader - he's less cheeky and funny in the books, and we don't get all that sexy sexyness. Whilst reading this scene, I was mainly just grossed out. But the insights we get to his character posthumously (Ssssssaaaaaand snaaaaaaakes!) and the…
Y'all can keep your Cumberwhats and your Hiddlewhos. This dude right here is my imaginary boyfriend.
WHY DOESN'T IT COME OUT UNTIL OCTOBER?!?!? Sorry to yell, I just went to pre-order yesterday, only to learn that. How dare they promote it so far in advance?!
I think he was trying to distract her with humor, vis a via making it all about him instead.
Can I still want to be him?
Great article! Sorry I'm gonna have to change the subject for a second.
Can King David count?
I think I may be suffering from PTSD after this episode. I mean I cant get how they ended that fight out of my head.
Haha, that literally makes no sense.
aunt/uncle (wow, there is no common neutral term for that, is there?)
While this is clearly upsetting to some people here, I think it's important to see things like this.
Get a grip. There's a difference between an emotionally and physically abusive mother who teaches her children to vandalize property and lie to the police and a parent who, in a moment of frustration, writes a Whisper about their annoying-ass kid.
In my old lady fantasy it's grad students who visit me at the home, and we have sex (not always but sometimes) because somehow I become totally note worthy. Now, chances of that happening are well, umm not likely, but it's fantasy, so I can be a dragon too!
