Something similar happened in front of our house when the mailman decided he’d drive from our mailbox to the neighbor’s by cutting through our leaf pile on the street; his delivery vehicle got hung up in the pile, the hot muffler set the leaves on fire, and we ended up with nothing more than a mass of molten aluminum…
Drive through them all you want, but never ever park in them.
Yank the body off and graft a clean Pontiac Fiero onto it for the ultimate reverse kit car.
He heard the new aluminum body was lightweight!
Somewhere further down I said Matrix XRS for the same reasons - all the virtues of the Corolla XRS, taller final drive, and the ability to turn into a black hole when you fold the rear seats down and discover a perfectly flat bed. Even found a pristine copy for 4990.
The last press car Orlove drove?
“ first person to correctly ID this car wins me saying something wildly favorable about them on their preferred social media outlet.”
His most successful tunnelling endeavour to date
I love mine. Except for all the times when I don’t and wish I bought a post-dieselgate GTI
Jokes aside, WRX is the answer here
Needs just a little more beard to start vaping.
Just get the WRX and start vaping, bro
Really? No one is going to say WRX?
Agreed, although I was really hoping for Aptera. The 3-wheeled concept is a bit of a reach for a lot of people, but I really liked the styling of the Aptera, particularly the electric version. The Elio to me seems like a 3-wheeled car trying to pass itself off as a regular car, whereas the Aptera felt like a new form…
Some dreams have to die. Paul Elio has moved his production target, the MPG (it wasn’t always “up to” 84), and cost numbers so many times that it is ridiculous to think that they will ever start production.
Every Mercedes ever made has all parts available direct from Mercedes. Now, you wear trash bags and shake a can outside of the train station after paying for a pump on that leveling system, but the part is still on the shelf in Germany.
Which will cost you more to keep running though? Those new AMGs have expensive electronics, but how hard is finding 40 year old parts for the SEL?
I see what you’re getting at, but the old 450SEL will still be around LONG after all those AMG’s have made their way to buy-here-pay-here lots. I still think it’s a CP though.
CP.
