There’s no way your car doesn’t end up gimped. It would be complete insanity to keep the emissions cheat if they could’ve had the car meet US emissions requirements and performing as advertised.

Holy cow, imagine if it hamstrung every TDI sold here that was fitted with the cheat. I think people would be more pissed than they are now.

If by “certain situations” you mean when the car is on, then yes
