You’re talking about what is a post-apocalyptic civilization, barely coming out of technological dark age, trying to understand species that can destroy and rewrite the known laws of physics.

I don’t think that’s an unrealistic expectation. Unrealistic for Destiny? Probably, because of how Bungie set it up from the beginning. But I think that’s a pretty common way people would prefer to have a narrative go.
