I’m sensitive to that, but this was a callous and elitist thing he said. Again, not the end of the world, nor is it very different from what other people in similar positions likely think.

Lol no I do not disagree. What I do disagree with is the suggestion, which I read into his statement, given the context, that living that situation is the result of complacency or some personal failing.

That wasn’t his message, his message was that people who do that are to blame for their lot in life. Again, I like and respect Lebron tremendously, but this was elitist and arrogant. Many wealthy people feel the same, he’s not on his own here, but sad to hear it from a guy I like.

He talked about people who “get up at 630, go to work, leave at 5, get up the next day and do the same thing” as an example of how not to live. I don’t have a timestamp or video clip. 

One thing Lebron did in this ep that really upset me was when he mocked and belittled 9-5ers. It’s a very normal rich person thing to think/say, but hearing it from him, a guy I respect tremendously, was not great.
