Lowering the speed limit to 55 is the automotive equivalent of the obvious warnings on consumer products. “remove child before folding stroller” anyone? Maybe instead of making everyone suffer for the stupidity of a few we could do a respectable job of training drivers in America and hold them accountable. Speed

I wonder what would have happened had Ford instead (with different styling cues) called it a Thunderbird.  It would have used a dormant (but still historically significant) name, and maybe had a better--pun not intended--connection with electricity.  After all, thunder comes after lighning, and lightning to

Driver’s licenses should have real world tests. Back that F-350 around a corner into a parallel space. Oh you cant? Too bad then.

So long as they don’t shorten the Yellow to snag more red light runners, I agree

Digital gauges are horrible. I want real Tach, Speed, Temp, and Fuel gauges. (I would also like Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, and an Ammeter, but that’s probably asking too much.) I don’t want to cycle menus to find these basic pieces of information. I don’t need stupid animated crap to liven up my dashboard.

Why 55mph? Seem arbitrary, 45mph is doubtlessly safer then 55? 35 is also doubtlessly safer then 45? Making everyone use public transit and stay in their neighborhood and only travel away with government approval and transport would again be a step safer...aren’t you being a little bourgeoisie suggesting the ridiculous

Getting passed on the right on a multi-lane highway should be a moving violation with points on your license. Yes, points on the license of the person who gets passed on his or her right.

I guess my controversial opinion would be putting the 458 in the “ugly” category, then. Hood looks like it doesn’t fit. Headlights are waaaaay over designed. Windshield looks like its bending under its own weight. Mirror stalks are hilariously long and look like snail eyestalks. Double logos up front makes the bumper

The Dodge Journey isn’t as awful as people make it out to be. Just get the FWD V6 and don’t expect luxury. I’m in car sales, I worked at a Dodge store where they were more likely to get traded in, and I’ve seen them with 250,000 miles and not dead yet. New, they were great for young families with strapped incomes, or t

A restomod is just buying the style without the feel of driving an old car”... which is EXACTLY the point.  You do you, man, and let me do me.

Sports cars should have cup holders and cruise control.  There’s no reason not to include them other than vanity.

Speed control for the hwy isn’t the solution. Driving reform and Behavior change is what’s needed, but Americans aint ready for that conversation. Why are people B-lining it to the Passing lane just to go slow? We should be able to go 90mph easily on most highways, especially at late night. If you’re that scared to go

The worst part, by far, is plugging in your destination into Google maps or Waze or whatever, and watching the arrival time tick UP as you drive instead of down. We must have very different brains, because to me that is literal torture.

My stickshift doesnt make me a safer driver.  Stop it, I know its crap and you know its crap too.

The Porsche 944 is better looking than the 928.

Fields and fields.... corn... corn... soybeans... corn... soybeans.... exit... corn....

Towing more than 5,000 lbs should require a special license endorsement.

Stricter license standards. Revamp the whole program. Instructors need to be well trained to point out mistakes in your test drive. The driver needs more education and training. Defensive driving courses should be mandatory in some way. Basic knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting should be mandatory. Special

For a fun car, I’d take FWD over AWD 99% of the time

55 MPH is more than a “minor inconvenience”. Have you ever driven (or been a passenger) crossing Kansas at 55 MPH? Christ it felt like I could get out and walk faster than that.
