I've always considered getting:

I hear you. I live in the country for the peace and quiet, not for the animal problems. My neighbors let their goats run wild all over our property. We came home from out of town and found they had destroyed my garden and knocked over all my peach trees. When we complained to them, they said they'd just round them all

Hearted! I always find myself wondering if January Jones is really made out of wood and then I wonder if she's really a witch. And then I wonder, if I were to nonchalantly drop a lit match at her feet, would the mystery finally be solved.

Wait... Are you me? My hair is exactly like hers (and yours). I never wear it down because people make stupid comments about it. And then the same stupid people stupidly ask me why I don't ever wear my stupid hair down. Fuck everyone. Except you and Rebekah Brooks.

Why bother with a study? I once spent 5 minutes sitting in the lobby of my college's drama/art building and came to the same exact conclusion.

I'd avoid law school for now. I went to law school and regret it. I had a very specific path in mind (fighting injustice blah blah blah) when I was applying for school. By my 1L summer, I had completely changed my worldview and no longer was interested in pursuing that path. (Working with war crimes tribunals). I

I think it's more than that though. I've played in a number of decent sized (200+) tournaments and even when there seems to be an almost even split amongst the sexes, it ends up being almost only men towards the end.

Has anyone else been watching ESPN's coverage of the WSOP Main Event? It really confuses me and bothers me that year in, year out, by this stage there are only maybe 2 or 3 women left in the tournament. I don't understand why women do so poorly in the big poker tourneys.

I liked Daniel Deronda. Jodhi May is in that and I lurve her. I haven't seen Lady Chatterly. Naked Sean Bean sounds good though. I'll pretty much watch any UK period piece. I watched the Crimson Petal and the White a couple of weeks ago. It was OK, but I much preferred the book. Right now I am watching some recent UK

I will watch anything and everything with Anthony Howell in it. He could literally read me the phonebook.

Ugh. I dated a few of these guys. One of them used to have a really annoying habit of grabbing my hand and putting it on his cock, completely out of nowhere and frequently while I was driving and once at a card game in front of all of our friends. Ugh.

"Wake Me Up Before you Go Go" by Wham. It is so ridiculous and over-the-top. Never fails to make me giggle.

North & South is soooo good. On rainy or snowy, no-good, bad, awful days, I like to drown myself in wine and either North & South or Wives and Daughters.

As a hardcore football fan, I mostly agree with you. I watch football obsessively, at least 5 or 6 games a week, but if the only games available were women's games, I would just go without. That's because the general standard of play is poor when compared to the men's game. But I also feel this way about the MLS,

Hooray for Japan! They really had the best overall performance. Watching the rise of Ayumi Kaihori was great. All that talk about Japan needing a real goalie has been put to rest I hope.

If we could just measure Mr. Bachmann's anus, we'd know once and for all.

The Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht. I was skeptical and decided to give it a chapter to impress me. I read it all in nearly one sitting without even realizing what I'd done. Great book.

Too much Mario Kart? I thought the same thing...

Or it could be that I appreciate a strong, cohesive midfield that knows how to play 1 and 2 touch football and plays with a fiesty, scrappiness lasking in the game. Supporting the US team, who can neither control the ball or maintain possession, but USA! USA! USA!... That's what I call bandwagon-y.

This is a novel idea, but I'm going to root for Japan because they are actually the better team. Crazy, huh?
