This can lead to bad results. Many, if not most, authors should not bypass the traditional publishing process of having an editor go through their work. Unshackled from the editing process, many authors turn out complete dreck. One of my favorite writers as a kid, Piers Anthony, is a good example of someone whose

@swarmster: OtterBox is awesome. I straight up spilled water on it after accidentally knocking over my water bottle sitting next to my iPhone and none of the water made it past the case exterior. I've also dropped my iPhone onto the pavement twice...that case has saved my ass time and again.

@scoobydoo: Oh, he'll readily acknowledge he loves to put fish sticks in his mouth, but he won't cop to being gay and can't understand why everyone keeps saying that about him.

@SethThresher: The Mole is pretty much the only reality competition show I'd ever want to do...and just like you, only if I got to be the mole so I could mess with everyone and never have to worry about being eliminated because of that quiz. I wish ABC would bring it back...the first two seasons were the best,

@Schm1tty: My guess based on the description: extremely popular reality competition involving couples...the Amazing Race.

@David Cohen: Yellow dwarfs like our sun don't make it to the iron stage. They stop at carbon. Supergiants get to iron, and when they try to collapse once more to fuse the iron, the rebound effect is what causes the supernova because iron won't fuse.

@hdgotham (Hannah Wilson): I know what you mean. I hate it when people promote my causes in ways that make me cringe.

@Ben Malouf: I could never blindly navigate with my Nano while running. I always had to pull it out of my pocket and look at the screen to see what I was doing. So this update changes nothing for me in that regard.

@applefandan: I guess everyone is rounding it to the next day because the actual equinox occurs at 11:09 p.m. on the 22nd.

@applefandan: According to whom? Every source I've seen says the 23rd, including my calendar, Wikipedia, and lots of other sites.

@geolemon: History repeats itself for one very simple reason: generational cycles. History flows in a 70-80 year cycle (there are also other cycles that are shorter and longer, but for the most part, the big stuff happens along this timescale) in which something momentously bad happens (often an economic disaster),

@snownpaint1: Yup...nowadays, I look at all the ultralight stuff available and think, "Damn, I can carry even more stuff and live like a king in the backcountry".

It's interesting to see the perspectives of backpackers/campers who don't come from a military background complain about heavy packs. To me, a heavy pack is about 60-80 lbs. 30-40 lbs. was a light pack for me, so I'm able to carry much more than most regular backpackers, and still have the strength and energy to go

@snownpaint1: I agree...for a former light infantryman like me, a 30-45 lbs. pack is really light, even with a rifle in my hands...I did a 25 mile road march like that. Hiking/backpacking with that kind of load is insanely easy for people with my background.

@Will Burns: I've found it very accurate when people speak English, enunciate well, and have little to no accent. It's a nightmare when dealing with foreign languages. I live in Los Angeles and get the random wrong number voicemails in Spanish, and the translator tries to put it all into English. End result is a

@SkipErnst: Finally, the reference I sought. I can't believe I had to drill this far down into the comments section. Not many Wright fans in here, I gather.

@Homerjay has ABSA Fever: Yes, in the pool. It comes with a waterproof pouch with a strap, so you put your device inside and wear it on your arm as you swim.

@Aaron Crabtree: And the waterproof pouch has a strap so you can wear it on your arm.
