Your comment is such peak white feminism

That commentator ‘Siege Mentality...’ just casually AllLivesMatter-ed Zinzi’s statement. Remarkable.

Stumping for presidential candidates? “Not naive. Heed my words!”

I swear to God, she does this on purpose. This isn’t about defending her friend; it’s about making herself the center attention of a story that doesn’t involve her.

Lena’s brand of white feminism reminds me of Taylor Swift and Megyn Kelly. They pivot themselves as feminists when shit impacts them personally or when they feel attacked. They wield feminism to help themselves, not others.

Her naive act is so off-putting and vile. She wasnt homeschooled on a commune in rural Idaho. Shes in her 30's, was educated at elite schools and produced and wrote a major TV show for years, and grew up around powerful figures in art, theater and film.

Which is dumb because she’s 31 not an 18 year old college freshman.

I do think that almost all of the time you should believe the victim and that very few woman lie about sexual assault.

Thiiiiiiiis. She did not have to be part of this narrative. If someone asked her about it because it was her show, she could have said that she would prefer not to comment on the situation.

Everytime Lena Dunham fucks up she retreats to every shitty stereotype - oh no I’m just a young, silly, naive woman trying to make it in the world. Either you’re fucking here with us or not make up your mind.

I think you bring up a good point, and no, I don’t think it’s inherently wrong to believe the men you love. However, if you’re a public figure like Lena, and you feel the need to release a statement that the victim is lying, even though you have no way of actually knowing what happened, that’s where you cross a line.

Maybe by staying quiet until She had all the facts? All they basically did was make the writer’s situation even worse by inserting themselves into the story.

Much like the time she refused to pay artists, Lena Dunham only does the right thing after public opinion rips the shit out of her.

one thing I didn’t notice in her statement was an apology to Aurora; god Lena is so vile

she only apologized because she had to

Lena is an asshole and it’s annoying that she’s made feminism a part of her brand. She’s the epitome of a white feminist. Lena doesn’t want to embrace women of color or understand intersectionality. Lena just wants to be equal to white men. The rest of us can kick rocks. I’m not surprised she chose not to stand in

Is it me or does she still sound like she doesn’t actually believe her?

Or, just hire more women to do stuff.

This legitimately breaks my heart. I genuinely wanted a Franken/Harris or Harris/Franken ticket in 2020. But yeah. Dude’s gotta go.
