20 in 3 days? Amateur. Around here 20 cookies wouldn't last two hours.

I avoided the spoilers at Television Without Pity.

Ugh, I know. It doesn't pop up in my On Demand until the day after, and I'd just gotten the kids ready for bed and was going to watch it, but checked Jezebel first...FUCKING THANKS.

You definitely got me wrong. I'm just saying, there's no need to jump to the most negative conclusion right off the bat.

I didn't know there was a difference. I do know a family annihilator, unfortunately, and he totally fit the profile.

Totally serious question. You have absolutely no idea about my history with regard to mental illness/suicide. You have no clue as to whether it's something I have experienced or what. So why immediately jump to such an unkind conclusion? You read a whole lot into that question, and I am wondering why.

Hearts are only so big, right?

Oh man. I will never watch that - animal death gets to me. Thanks for the heads up!

Me too. Just one sad thing on top of another makes a sad, sad mountain.

Maybe...it is just so sad. I've kind of followed along with her life story, and it's like nothing ever worked out for her. I hope she found some peace.

Um, no. I am not only concerned with the dog dying. I was confused as to why she killed the dog as well as herself. But wow, way to read the worst into my question!

Really? I didn't get that from the headline. Shocker!

Why the dog? I suppose it's just a good thing that her kids weren't there, or it could have been even worse. Still...poor dog.

You are absolutely correct, and I have two kids (one rambunctious toddler and a baby in the screamy stage). Sure, the toddler wants out of his seat to run around. Do I let him? No. When appropriate, I hold his hand and let him walk around and look at stuff, but he is NOT allowed to just take off and frolic. Seriously,

There is lots of crossover in their products. I've gotten all kinds of stuff at Aldi that is identical to the TJs stuff, but cheaper - frozen stuff, those maple cookies, cheeses, etc. Aldi has come a LONG way in terms of quality. Oh, and their chocolate! OH THE CHOCOLATE. It's the genuine Euro article and it's so

I am confused about something. Don Ed Hardy was one of the giants of American tattooing. He helped to elevate it from slapping some crap off a wall onto drunk dudes to a real art form. He created the magazine "Tattootime" (now defunct) in the 80s to improve the discourse around tattooing. And now, a clothing line with

Yep. A non-parent who tries to tell parents how it is is like someone saying, hey, I don't speak French, but check out my new Victor Hugo translation!

Yes, it gets worse when I've done a lot of activity and when I've gone a while without any, and it's the worst of all when I'm really tired. Being pregnant makes it worse still. Hate it so much. Oh, and I live in Chicago too (but that's just a coincidence, it doesn't increase the likelihood of getting RLS).

I just use one bar and touch my toes to it. I'm not sure it has to be unwrapped, but it just seemed logical. It's just bizarre, and possibly it's entirely the placebo effect, but who cares? It works. And it's practically free (just don't use L'Occitane or anything).

Tip from a fellow sufferer of RLS: put an unwrapped bar of soap in bed and rest your feet on it. No idea why it works, but it does, and it's a completely risk-free thing to try.
