As someone that lives in an area that is predominantly french, it is a mess of a language. The grammar is needlessly complicated and there’s just so many exceptions and rules that conjugation and spelling becomes a nightmare for anyone that doesn’t know it as a first language.

Well, for starters, the genders of nouns and determiners, which are very hard to master. Or how about the ridiculous numbering system, which makes the Roman numerals look like peanuts?
