I didn't play it, but wasn't the last Mortal Kombat the original tournament again? (due to time travelling shenanigans). One of them died in the original game too...
Urm...i'd be more impressed if they didn't have the music in the background...
Which is why they should have stuck with Origins!
The only issue now is when the Pokedex references them, like when it says "the Poodle pokemon"

That and the constant backtracking. I usually don't mind it, I actually kinda like going back to places I've been with new abilities/items, but Skyward Sword took the piss.
