It's so they blend into the darkness better. Otherwise the sentinel's robot eyes would see them...not like they have thermal/motion/untrasound vision or anything...

It's mainly the time I wouldn't be playing it. Don't get me wrong most of what I do is game related, but I like variety. If I'm paying a subscription I'd feel like I'm throwing money away when I'm not playing.
